I remember that day as if it were yesterday. I had woken up, gotten dressed, and said goodbye to my mother. I then began my walk to Camelot.

When I arrived the guards pointed me to Gaius, the Court Physician's chambers. I knocked on the door but nobody answered. I slowly pushed open the old creaky door. When I looked inside I saw papers all over along with strange devices with liquids of all kinds running through them. I looked up and saw a short man with long white hair rummaging through papers on a ladder. I called out to him and it appears I startled him, for he fell off the ladder. By instinct I used my magic to pull a bed underneath him so he landed in that instead of on the hard stone floor.

The man introduced himself by saying,

"You must be the boy I was expecting. Well, my name is Gaius. I will be looking after you. You will sleep over here."

He then showed be to where I would be sleeping.

"My name is Merlin by the way." I called to him

"I know." He replied with a smile

I was so tired from all that walking I had done that I fell on the bed and slept for the rest of the day.
