I woke up drenched. I looked up to see the short white haired man dressed in a long blue robe standing beside my bed with a bucket in his hands.

"We are serving at the king's feast today. So it's time to wake up." Gaius said

I got up and got dressed. Gaius made me some dinner and we walked over to the feast room. I was to make sure the cups never went dry.

The king had a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice sing at the feast. I was enjoying her voice until I saw all the guests fall asleep and get covered by webs. I covered my ears for I believed her song was a dark spell. I saw Arthur, the king's son, also covered in webs. The singer took out a blade and was going to kill Arthur. I wouldn't let her kill him!

I had met Arthur earlier in the day on my way to meet Gaius. He was throwing swords at a poor servant boy protected only by a wooden shield. I told him to stop and he threw me in the dungeon.

I used my magic to bring the chandelier on top of the woman and instantly everybody woke up. But somehow the chandelier didn't kill her. She pulled a dagger out and threw it at Arthur. I ran and pushed him out of the way.

The king saw that I just saved his son.

"You have saved my son. You will be rewarded. You will now be Arthur's manservant!" The king said

"Father, why him?" Arthur asked

I walked back to Gaius's chambers with Gaius.

"Congratulations Merlin!" Gaius exclaimed

"What?" I asked

"You have been rewarded for your deeds!" Gaius said

"I'd hardly call this a reward."

"Well, get some rest. You've got a big day tomorrow."
