–At 18, no one was too young to challenge the position of a Knight, nor too young to leave out growing feelings.

When Beomgyu said he'd seek a blue lightsaber, Taehyun picked the same color. Beomgyu always listened to him and offered him support. It was inevitable that he adored Beomgyu, not just for his skills as a Jedi, but also for his kindness, his intelligence, his beauty and so on...

However, as genuine as his love for a person, unexpressed admiration came first as obstacles during his meditation training.

"Padawan Taehyun," Master 8 said sternly, opening his eyes and looking at Taehyun. Three feet apart on their respective mat, his gaze had stripped the learner in parsec.

Something was off. The Jedi Master could tell a disturbance in the Force, a flicker of emotion that was not in line with his apprentice's usual calm and focused demeanor. Taehyun was distracted, mind wandering away from the present moment.

"I'm sorry, Master," Taehyun said, bending his head. "I have trouble clearing my mind."

"I do not wish to see you until your thoughts are tamed. You are not fit to meditate with me in your current state. Leave this chamber." Master 8 told him blandly. His tone was flat, just as he never raged, but Taehyun knew he had fucked up quite badly.

'Jedi were not supposed to have attachments'– easier said than done.

The younger boy stood up slowly, feeling the weight of shame pressing down on him."I apologize for my behavior earlier. Please allow me to learn from my mistakes." He bowed deeply to Master 8 before walking out of the meditation chamber.

His way out of the Jedi Temple was full of disappointment. He couldn't believe that he had failed to control his thoughts and emotions in front of Master 8, which implied he needed to do better, in order to pursue his dream as a Jedi Knight.

Strolling through the streets of Coruscant, vehicles soaring among the skyscrapers gave hope to him– it's about time that Beomgyu would be returning from a mission. A small smile crossed his lips.

Well, well,well–

It's all about that boy again.

He just couldn't get him out of his mind, could he?

They shared a unique bond since childhood, yet spent less and less time together since they started adventuring with their respective Masters. Call it destiny, what could Taehyun do about it, except standing by the starship port?

As for today, he would be tiptoeing, extending his neck, scanning over the place, searching for any sign of Beomgyu's ship the same way someone's longing for a soulmate.

Providence didn't let down a man of patience, a familiar-looking cruiser touched down at the port, he watched eagerly as the ramp descended, a cloud of smoke emerged from the entrance, momentarily obscuring his view.

Once the smoke cleared, he saw a calm and serene face– Master SUGA, Beomgyu's Master. Behind him, his wrecked Padawan followed.

In spite of that, Beomgyu still radiated elegance and gracefulness in Taehyun's eyes.

Or–

He had always perceived him handsome and beautiful. But seeing him now, dressed in formal pearl robes that adorned his milky skin, made him look even more delectable.

His daze could have lasted longer, his admiration could spiral if not intervened by Master SUGA, who greeted him with a nod. "Taehyun, it's good to see you," he said.

"It's good to see you too, Master SUGA," Taehyun replied.

Master SUGA then turned to Beomgyu, patting his back lightly. "You can go with him. Just remember to submit your report as soon as possible."
