"I don't care about what they say about you. You're not defined by your past or your parents. I know you, Beomgyu, I know you more than anyone else," Taehyun assured him.
The tension on Beomgyu's face eased away, replaced by a grateful smile. Taehyun had earned his trust long ago. Their bond, forged from their days as Younglings, had weathered countless trials.
"What have I done to deserve you, Taehyun-ah?" Beomgyu's hand hesitantly found its way to Taehyun's, the latter tightening his grip in response. "You even picked this beautiful place that I haven't visited for God knows how many years. Y'know, it's been so long since I witnessed a full blossom. I think the last time we were brought here was for the meditation camp."
When you're the prettiest flower among the blossoms, Taehyun thought to himself, a little smile tugged his lips.
"I guess these flowers can't be a match to the ones you're holding?" Beomgyu's eyes pointedly searched for the bouquet that Taehyun was trying to hide from him. He was nowhere to escape Beomgyu's trained senses. The ravenette probably noticed that before they even started talking. Well, Jedi's perks.
"Of course, the most beautiful flower for the most beautiful boy of this galaxy." Taehyun offered him the bunch of scarlet roses. His ears flushed the same color with these flowers. Goosebumps over his arms. Had he known pulling this stunt would be mortifying, he shouldn't have accepted Hueningkai's advice.
"Rose originated from our ancestor planet. This flower is elegant, yet strong and competent, like you." Taehyun salvaged the odds with a prepared speech.
"Thank you." Beomgyu received the flowers well, inhaling the natural scent with a contented smile. "Romanist, doesn't feel like you." He tilted his head slightly, "Mmh, Kai taught you then."
Taehyun scratched his nape, feeling the heat rising to his cheeks. "I thought you'd like it," he mumbled. By any chance a cave was nearby, Taehyun would not hesitate to stow himself there.
"Oh- Have I mentioned I didn't like it?" Beomgyu scooted closer until he could peck lightly on his rosy cheek mischievously, and Taehyun was on cloud nine, butterflies fluttering in his stomach.
God, Beomgyu was such a menace. That innocent smile of his was all that Taehyun would safeguard.
"Akem-" Taehyun coughed lightly, feigning composure. "Would you like to see the flowers downstairs as well?" He suggested in order to distract Beomgyu from his bashful look.
"Sure~" Beomgyu chirped as their fingers intertwined effortlessly, blending in with the couples around them. When they seemed to be cocooned in their own world, Beomgyu's communication device jingled.
"Sorry, just a moment, hehe-" He apologized as he picked up the call. His eyes rolled in annoyance when he read the contact–
"Well, well, well, Choi Soobin, it'd better be important. If you don't realize I'm having a lovely date with my sweet Taehyunie who just confessed to me, now you do." Beomgyu retorted.
"Yeonjun is captured by the Jedi!"
"Wait, what? Didn't you come back with the hunters?" Beomgyu asked, eyes flickered with concern. He was ready to toss Soobin over the edge of their balcony if there was the slightest hint of a prank.
"These Jedi are as horrible as the Sith!"
"Hey, hey! Hang on, you need to explain." Beomgyu asked, palms sweating. But the call was cut off abruptly.
He swiped a few buttons to check the location of the caller. It showed that Soobin was last seen near the Jedi Temple.
Taehyun and Beomgyu exchanged a look before they dashed on their legs.
