Chapter XIX

Erin.

" Let's go." I ordered and we drove off the police station. The only way I could concentrate on the impending war was to see her so I could concentrate. And it did mih a lot of good.

It made mih realize how much I want her, how much I'm attracted to her despite this mate bond, I really want her. And am going to have her. She's mine. Nevigh obviously agreeing.

Allowing myself a few minutes to submerge myself into her, her scent, her touch her everything, it makes mih feel so high and light, a feeling so new to mih, so scary and exiting at the same time. I lose myself when am surrounded by her, I act so differently discovering a side of mih that I didn't know existed.

A smile made it's way on my face without knowing, the heat of her body against mine still ever so present and am clinging onto that feeling for a few seconds longer before it disappears.

I like her, I don't know how or when she creeped beneath my skin but she did. I like her eyes, her attitude, her ability to stay composed around mih, her headstrong nature, how she unconsciously gives into mih, or the way her eyes always stare at mih. So closed off and cold, good thing I got heat, to flame up that ice till it's melted to a whirlwind of violent waves for us to drown in.

" Erin??" Snapping my eyes to that of Kent's like I hadn't just zoned out again.

" Are we going to analyze our strategy again? We're half an hour away ." He said not mentioning about my non focused mindset right now.

" Yeah." He nodded taking out the tablet , opening the building's layout, every single escape route and door.

We analyzed the building from every possible angle, we are going to attack a warehouse in the middle of the day, which is what I want. A good chase would be nice, seeing an attacker in broad daylight gives and ignites fear on the aspect of surprise and being caught of guard.

I'm itching to sink my claws into their warm blood, but we have to do this quickly, got no time to waste.

" So.. umh . We'll use the front door like we're delivery men, then boom!!." Kent said staring back at mih and I confirmed with a nod.

" Okay." He nodded looking away but my gaze still stayed on him.

" Why did you connect with Corrine?" I had felt the shift in his scent, but I felt that in Corrine early. And it wasn't a simple link, not like a tattoo you can cover up, but a brand that is hidden but seen at the same time.

I'm not shocked am mostly curious.

" Because she's my Queen." He answered so simply that I didn't ask anymore questions. I could feel the truth in his words but something else was off about it.

The fact that he accepted her  as Queen so quickly to the point of bonding with her for life is very questionable. It got mih wondering if I truly know him but then again I've known this man since I was less than ten years.

" Are you going in with any weapons?" Kent asked as the driver packed the car a few metres from the gate, he showed mih his favourite hand gun that was as old as the world, I didn't know how that thing even still worked, and I lifted my knife.

" Okay. Let's get messy." He muttered, he thrived on violence as much as I do, Agustin was the mediator between us, the calm to our storm.

" Adrian?? Be alert."
