Hormones. Hormones everywhere. All these puberty-hit teenagers party just for the hell of it, drink to run away from their problems, and smoke to escape the harsh reality society hands down to them.
I mean I don't blame them, running away from some personal issues and being rebellious sure does seem nice but the consequences are always brutal.Cameron and I decided we had no interest in being inside mostly because it was pretty stuffy in there due to so many warm, sweaty bodies and the lack of air conditioning. We pushed our way through the crowd and ended up in the outside pool area, where their was half as much people as their was inside. Not to mention, the whole outside area was beyond luxurious and the view was overlooking the city lights of tall buildings in LA. The gorgeous infinite pool facing the impressive view, was full of kids swimming around, performing typical drunk activity as the speakers blared out a variety of songs.
A party this wild wasn't the usual atmosphere I enjoyed being in, and the fact that this place is full kids I've never even seen before, added on to my anxiety. I just clung to Cameron like some sort of baby koala until we eventually spotted our usual group chatting causally, while at a large circular table.
The table was pretty distant from where all the madness was occurring, which was fortunate for myself.Cameron and I took a seat on the cushioned chairs as everyone except Matthew greeted us, instead he was glancing back and forth from Cameron to me, raising his eyebrow and looking smug as ever.
"Cameron and Lana eh? First it was walking to class together and now it's picking each other up to go to parties? This little 'friendship' of yours is growing rather quickly ya think?" Matthew commented chewing his gum unnecessary loud.
Matt was the type of guy that would say anything that first comes to mind, he didn't care if it made sense or not, or even if it hurt anyone's feelings. He's that guy.Eyes were rolled to Matt and silence was built. Everyone just kinda glared at Matt in stillness, waiting impatiently for someone to speak up.
"Oh my god you Buffoon, you're making everyone uncomfortable with your weird ass statements." Cameron broke the tense silence that seemed to be going on for ages. I snickered at Cameron's comment as I played with my fingers.
"Forreal though, if you wanna be some sort of fanboy and jerk off to the thought of Cameron and Lana's possible relationship, than keep it to yourself dammit." Nash chuckled, agreeing to Cameron statement.
Matt started - "Well I mean it's kind of hard to hold that part of me in when-"
"Holy shit alright - will you all quit acting like a bunch of little fourteen year old girls and let me finish my story?" Shawn rolled his eyes.
"Go ahead Shawn, what were you saying ?" Mahogany allowed Shawn to resume the story that I assume he began before I arrived here.
"Okay, as I was saying, I was in Spanish and this girl, this fuckin' girl." Shawn having a red plastic cup in his hand, exaggerated every word he spoke.
"She had the nerve to even consider to pull some bitchy move my way , and you know what I did? Guess what I did.""Jesus fucking Christ." Johnson swore under his breath, loud enough for everyone to hear. "You've told us this same exact story over and over again. I'm guessing you have a pretty boring life due to the lack of interesting events that happen on your days."
I couldn't help but notice that Johnson wasn't being his usual witty self. In fact, he's been holding a bitch face the whole time he's been here.
"Jack, can you lay off Shawn? He's just trying to start a decent conversation, and you're bringing in negative vibes." Aaron said with a typical sweet tone in his voice. Carpenter and Mahogany were always the most peaceful ones in the group; they usually calm everyone down and resolve issues.
