Aaron crawled onto Alex's bed with one hand firmly on the boy's head and the other on his lower back, gentle enough to not awaken the three-year-old when he leaned down and set him on the pretty unicorn pillows that Alexander loved so much.
Alex had locked his arms around Aaron's neck which took a bit of wriggling to loosen.
The boy stirred and mumbled in his sleep after Aaron moved away from him, setting those sweet little arms down gently.
Aaron held his breath, but relaxed when he realized his son hadn't been disturbed. He smiled as he pressed a feather-light kiss on his son's forehead, and quietly sneaked out of the room, closing the door of the starry night themed bedroom carefully.
He smiled as he thought back on how the little boy's hand held onto his finger back at the park.
The idea of parenthood had mortified Aaron initially. How could his hands so tainted with the horrors of the sins he had committed ever be gentle enough with the purity of a child?
But everything changed the minute Alexander was born. Aaron swore he would never be the man his father had been and he promised his tiny pink bundle of joy that he would do everything in his power to make sure that Alexander not for a moment believed that he was unloved or unwanted.
And how Aaron loved being a father.
He sat down on the couch where Juliette was laying, while she nibbled on a slice of the pizza they had picked up on their way home. He lifted her legs and placed them on his lap, and he reached out for his own slice of pizza.
Juliette had changed into a pair of cotton shorts and a t-shirt after they had returned home and while Aaron's eyes were on the rom-com that Juliette was watching, eating his slice of pizza, his left hand seemed to have a mind of its own as it traced idle circles on the exposed upper thigh of the slender legs now resting on his lap.
He felt her shudder beneath his caress and he smirked, turning to observe her face quietly.
She kept her eyes trained on the television, pretending to not have noticed Aaron. He let his hands move higher, inwards, along the thigh and teased at the skin beneath the inseams of her mini shorts. Juliette glanced his way and he could see the fire that had come to life, dancing within her blue-green eyes.
He smirked, held out his arm invitingly and spoke in a slightly deeper, quieter voice, "Come here, love."
Juliette giggled and crawled over to him. He wrapped his arm around her waist and leaned in to place a few soft kisses on her neck while she tilted her head, giving him more access to her slender, creamy neck.
"God..." He breathed, "You smell amazing."
She giggled, wrapping her arms around him as she looked up into his smouldering green eyes. Aaron's free hand moved to her side and slipped up her t-shirt, caressing the softness of her hip lightly. She thought back to how adorable it looked when her husband so expertly dealt with their son and his meltdown earlier that day.
"I love watching you being a Daddy, Aaron. It's incredibly hot," She whispered as her husband pulled her onto his lap and continued to nibble at her neck and shoulder, his hands slipping up under her t-shirt from behind and squeezing her frame gently.
"Is that so, love?" He smirked, leaning forward to press his lips against hers, her arms around his neck, her fingers playing with his luscious blonde locks.
She hummed, contently, shutting her eyes as Aaron continued gently skimming his fingers on her lower back.
"It's so sweet that he's as obsessed with you as I am. We just want you around all the time, you know?" She whispered into his ear, softly.
