"What was Toby doing here?" I turned to face Lana who was not stood too far away. Her eyes widened as she ran over to me. "Did he do this to you? And just when I thought he couldn't sink any lower..."

Lana ranted on until it dawned on me on what she was talking about. "No, Lana no." I told her quickly. "I was hit in the face by a hail stone."

"Oh," she still looked at me questionably.

I sighed heavily. "Come on," I said linking my arm with hers. I didn't even realise the hail stone had stopped, but I sure felt that cold breeze. "I'll tell you inside. I'm absolutely freezing."

Now, there is no better feeling than putting on a fresh pair of pyjamas after a hot shower. My cold, aching bones finally warmed up and I couldn't wait to get sprawled out onto my bed. Of course, Lana was waiting for me, laid on her own bed and as I climbed on mine, I laid on my stomach, pulling up a pillow to hug on to and told her everything that happened after she left me earlier.

"...and that's when you saw me giving him the middle finger for that poor excuse of an apology." I explained. "If you're going to say sorry, at least mean it, you know? Don't just do it because you feel obligated to, you have to want to do it."

"I agree," she nodded as she stuffed a few sour patch kids into her mouth. "I still can't believe he gave you a ride. He never lets anyone ride in his truck, well...besides the guys. He actually called it a 'No Female Zone' not so long ago." She chuckled lightly. "Not even the random hook ups he gets with, he makes them catch a cab."

I grimaced. I don't want to even think about all of the random STDs he's been with. Just the thought of it made me shudder. "He's a pig."

Lana laughed, rolling from her bed and onto the floor. She reached under her bed pulling out two suitcases. She opened one, muttered under her breath, pushing it back under and opened the other one. It was literally just filled entirely of snacks. Big bags of Doritos, popcorn and sweets, you name it.

"Let's watch a movie." She said, dumping everything that she grabbed onto her bed, she manoeuvred the snacks suitcase back under the bed with her foot. "I haven't got any drinks, and I'm all out in the fridge."

"I'll go grab some from the vending machine." I bounced off the bed excitedly and shoved my feet into my slippers.

I was surprised at how lively I was. It's been one hell of a day, and I can't believe that I hadn't crashed and burned yet. But after all that has happened so far, going through all the motions, this was something that I needed. A good film, junk food and a great friend. I was dreading having to make friends, so I was thankful it was Lana who greeted me today.

I only took a handful of change with me as I headed down to the vending machine. Looking at the prices, I totted up my change and counted that I had enough money to buy four cans of Dr Pepper. Pressing the same numbers four times, I reached down to pull them all out. It was just about right that one would have to escape my grasp and roll away.

I watched in the direction at which it went until it was stopped by the grasp of someone's boot. Glancing up, I felt my jaw go slack a little as I gazed upon the fine specimen with light grey eyes. He was clean shaven, showing the dimples in his cheeks as he smiled. His blonde hair was short on the sides, but tied in a top knot on the top of his head.

Yet my stupid brain had to compare him to Toby. He was nothing like Toby. In fact, he was the complete opposite. This man was bright, angelic even. Toby, well...let's just say that Satan himself is keeping his seat warm for him.

"I think you dropped this." Even his voice sounded angelic. When did he pick the can up? I didn't see. Who even cares? "Are you okay?" He then went on to ask.
