Long ago... two years ago, humanity as we know it went from a population of eight billion, to 3 Billion as humans once again pulled a dumb ass move and killed everyone by toying around with science. However, children managed to survive the toxic airs and were immune due to our immune systems being stronger. However, everyone from 18 upwards began rotting in a matter of days. Two years later, and society is way more different than expected. The planet filled with nothing but animals and children. Some animals managed to survive the toxins that were blasted. We don't know what was in the toxins but we knew, it spelled death to human adults. So children were now the dominant species of this world. It's not easy with most children learning to mature at the age of four to survive these harsh environments. However there is a catch. Some children remember how to work like their parents and we managed to keep a somewhat sustainable society.
However it's not fully sustainable. There is a rule... no. A prophecy... yeah we will go with that. Whoever turns 18, they will be the leader of the country. Some have succeeded already, but some like in the US, have not. Me however, eh I don't care. The name's Andrew. I'm twelve years old and this is the story of the first part of my crazy adventure as a hero. Okay picture this for this prologue, rainy night, gloomy skies and thunder in New Dork City, formerly known as New York City. A handsome young boy that's a little smaller than other kids, has this marker and shakes it. You know the ones you see on those little short videos of platforms like YouTube or TikTok? Those pens. He draws on the buildings that are decaying as always committing vandalism and I won't get arrested since no police! (Actually that's a lie there is police, vandalism is no longer a crime in our world) Hm... need a picture, okay here!

"Vera Veggington Strikes again after a laboratory once again got invaded by mutated vegetables"
My ears prick up and I walk towards the TV at the news stand and I take interest. Someone called me a freak so I permanently marked their shirt with my pen and got closer to the TV.
"She's insane and needs to be stopped immediately"
"Remember when she used to be part of our society? Yeah. She was considered a freak but she has gotten worse and out of control!"

I found it. After days of looking, I finally found what I was looking for. A villain. One to screw around with using my new powers. I found it. Yeah sure it's a girl and this isn't supposed to be women slander because I'm trying to stop an evil girl, but she was bad. She is a baddie. Someone I need to kick their ass and save the world. The girl who is so sadistic, so evil, so corrupt. I found her. Vera Veggington. To clarify, her name is pronounced Veg-ing-ton. The last two G is silent. Anyways, Vera has been making the rounds of the news recently with her plan. I'm not gonna spoil it yet since we just started this story. But this here, was the point... when I found the right person I was looking for. Not anybody robbing purses, bags, or bikes even, I found someone who is similar to Bowser or Doctor Eggman. A evil villain who wants a version of the world domination trope. She was perfect.
I return home that evening at home on candy island, which I will explain later on how it's a thing and I cannot sleep. Yeah I have work tomorrow, but since I knew exactly what I was gonna do, I had to write it so I didn't forget. Spent up until 3AM on the dot to get the ultimate plan right. Why would I do that? Well...
