“Where are you taking me Jas?” Maleeha ask as they were walking through the woods. Jasper had sure that they were far away from the house, so his family wouldn't be listening in on the two. “To a place I found, we’re almost there.” He grabs her hand and puts her on his back and sped to the place.
It was different from how she would run and that was because Maleeha never really took her time to just see the things around her.
They got to the place and he put her down. “We’re here.” Jasper tells her. It was beautiful. Trees all around, a big lake and flowers scattered around, Maleeha has never seen anything like this before.
As the hybrid was awed about the place, Jasper was staring at her, like she was the only girl in the world. He knew that he had some type of feeling toward her, he just hope she felt the same way.
“Doll there is a reason why I brought you here.” Jasper grabs her attention. “What is it?” Jasper rubs his hands together, feeling a little nervous, thinking it was her emotion when it’s his.
“My kind, well we have this thing called soulmates, like a bond between two people. Every vampire has one.” Maleeha nods her head, kind of sensing where this was going. “I bought you here so I can tell you that you are my mate.”
“Im your mate?” Maleeha was shocked hearing this because she just could see herself loving nobody else that wasn't Kol. Jasper nods his head. Maleeha was going to say something, but he stopped her.
“Maleeha it’s something about you that I just can't seem to get off my mind as much as I try to shake the feeling and push it to the back of my head. I just can't.” He grabs her hand while looking into her eyes. “You are different from any other being that I have seen or crossed paths with in my lifetime.” He squeezes her hand, hoping that she feels the same.
“Jasper im sorry.” Maleeha pulls away from him. “But I don't feel the same way, I still love Kol even though he’s dead. I never had the chance to say goodbye when he died.” She gives a little smile. “I hope you're not upset.”
If his heart was alive that would have stung, but he understood. “It’s ok darlin’. Im sorry.” He turns facing the lake.
Maleeha walks up behind hugging him. “It’s all good, hey we just be friends I mean we have all the time in the world, so who knows.” Maleeha was surprised by the coldness of his skin. Hmm. So that’s why they’re called Cold Ones.
“So friend, what do you wanna do?” Maleeha asks him while her chin is resting on his shoulder. “Mmm don't know ma’am.
What do you want to do?” She smirks at him. “Let’s see who can run the fastest.” Maleeha speeds off, with Jasper laughing at her before following behind her.

“Today was fun.” Maleeha says to Jasper. They had just pulled up in front of her home, sitting in the car with only music playing quietly in the background. “I enjoy today as well.”
After they got back from the lake, the family wanted to know how it was back in Mystic Fall when Maleeha and her brother lived there.
She began to tell them the crazy shit her cousin would always drag into, and her time with the Mikealsons how she felt as if she finally had a family. She didn't really open up much about her relationship with Kol, not just yet.
