Aemma didn't feel anything except the numb and empty feeling that came with being the last of her family.

It was the day of the vigil and the wedding.

The day that would remind that she was all alone.

In the two days since the council meeting, Aemma had weaved wreaths for her family. In total, she had made 15. One for her mother, her father, Rhaenys, Jace, Baela, Rhaena, Luke, Joffrey, Aegon, Viserys, Viseyna, Helaena, Jaehaerys, Jaehaera and Maelor.

Today was the day that she would be married.

She would then be expected to pushing out heirs.

However, instead of being Stark's, they would be Targaryen's.

To continue the line since Cregan had his son, brother, uncle and cousins to continue the Stark line.

"Your Grace." A serving girl called out, "It is time for the vigil."

She nodded as she gathered her wreaths. After double checking to make sure she had all 15, she left her room. Outside, she was met with Cregan.

"I have been Queen for a little more than a fortnight and I have yet to do something notable." Aemma told Cregan, "It was my hope that when I became Queen that I would make my mother proud."

"Your reign has only just begun, my Queen. I have no doubt that your long reign will make your mother, father and siblings proud of you." Cregan told her sincerely, "I did not know your mother personally but I did know Jacaerys. He spoke often of you, of your brothers, of your mother, of his betrothed Baela and Lucerys's betrothed Rhaena, and of your fathers."

She felt her chest tighten, "What did he say?" She asked, careful to not let any emotion slip

Cregan looked at the girl, wondering if he should have mentioned it.

"He told me of the dragons. He told me how much he loved and missed all of you. He told me that you were the best archer he had ever seen and that you could hit your target from your dragon." The Wolf told his Dragon

She wiped her eyes discreetly.

Oh how she missed her twin.

"Your dragon lives. Why is it I have yet to see you ride him?" The northerner asked

Aemma gave a shuddering breath, "Everyone says Targaryens are closer to gods than to men, but they say that because of our dragons. Without them, we're just like everyone else." She repeated what her mother had once said, "I love Aegarax with all my heart but he reminds me that I could not save Jace or any other member of my family."

Cregan longed to give his bride to be comfort but didn't know if she would accept it.

Soon the two arrived where the vigil was being held. The same place where Aemma's Grandam and namesake, Queen Aemma Arryn, was burned all those years ago by Syrax.

The vigil was private as Aemma wanted to grieve her family quietly. Only Aemma herself, Cregan, Lady Jeyne, Lord Corlys, and Alicent were there.

As soon as she and Cregan arrived, Aegarax joined them on the hill. He was a medium sized gold dragon with gold eyes. Of his clutch-brothers, Aegarax was the one who looked most like his mother, Syrax.

Alicent was already sobbing through a prayer for her children and grandchildren.

Aemma laid the wraths down in the order of their deaths and then moved to Aegarax's side, "Nyke sorry, Aegarax. Nyke could daor save īlva lentor. (I am sorry, Aegarax. I could not save our family.)" She told her dragon in a soft voice
