Angelica spent most of the day at her parents' house. She talked to her mom about all of her men. She told her about Shana and Damian, the bets made, Austin and most of Europe and Falio. She was really close to her mother and could tell her just about anything.
Alicia addressed Shana and Damian first. She told Angelica to be careful because he would be the one hurt at the end of it all. Angelica liked him, but he wasn't available. Her mom didn't like the bets made but knew Angelica always did what she wanted to do.
Next, Alicia talked about Austin and seemed to favor him. She felt he wasn't used to being in a relationship yet, but admired him for putting her daughter first concerning the new job.
Last, they talked about Falio and her sister.
"Angelica, try to leave Falio alone. Míja, you know your sister," said Alicia.
"I know, ma. But I wanted to do it and I did. Falio has really changed. It has been about us these past couple of days. I'm having a great time."
"What do you mean us? Angelica...don't tell me you're getting back together."
"No, but it's not a bad idea.
"Please, Angelica..."
"Sometimes I think it's her punishment, ma, for what she did to me."
"I know, míja. That girl is so hard-headed and defiant. I don't know where she got that from."
"Yeah, well..."
"How is Falio? Poor thing...I'm sure he's fallen for you all over again," chuckled her mother.
"Yeah...he loves me and wants us back together, but hasn't pushed the issue. It's like when we first dated. He took me to the Keys for lunch, took me shopping, gave me money and even paid for Nina's party."
"Míja...he's crazy about you and that's the type of man you should be with. One that loves you and will protect you. One that will take care of you no matter what. And Falio really loves you and will do anything for you. Like your father...he is still like that to this day."
"I know."
"And we love him. It's just your father and I don't like the situation."
Angelica and Falio's relationship had that deep, intense passion that Angelica desired. The chemistry and fireworks between them were indescribable. She admitted Ariana ruined her happiness.
Her mother didn't like her "locuras", which meant crazy escapades. But Alicia understood her daughter and knew she had a heart of gold underneath that tough exterior. That was the reason men went crazy for her. She was beautiful, smart and thoughtful. Any guy that captured her true heart would be lucky.
"Hey, sis," said Asila coming into the kitchen.
"Hey," said Angelica kissing her on the cheek. "Are you coming back to North Carolina with me?"
Asila wasn't sure what to say. Alicia loved the idea because she wouldn't have to worry about Richard trying to hurt her or take Nina.
Asila was nineteen and a virgin when she got mixed up with Richard. She was in her second year of college and doing well. Richard made her stop going to school, got her to start drinking, became very controlling and he even hit her a couple of times. Angelica hated him. When she got pregnant, they found out he was married with two kids. This sent Asila into a depression, but she came out of it after the birth of her daughter. She decided to get her life together for Nina and be strong. Alfredo was ready to shoot Richard if he ever saw him again. The only thing everyone was grateful to him for was Nina.
