German Airspace May 3rd, 2012
The flight to Germany was uneventful. Bella sat beside Natasha in the cockpit, and they spoke occasionally. Captain Rodgers sat behind them in the Quinjet clad in his red, white, and blue suit. It was complete with the famous Vibranium shield.
They approached Loki's location and gradually started to descend until they were almost at street level. Below them, Bella could see a crowd of people kneeling on the ground. In front of them was man in a green suit wearing a crown with golden horns. He also held a golden scepter which sharpened into a spear at the end.
"You sure you can just jump out the back of this thing?" Bella spoke to Rodgers.
He was standing at the other end of the Quinjet, waiting for Natasha to open the exit ramp. "I'm sure." He answered without hesitation.
The ramp began to lower, and a gust of wind blew in. Without a second of hesitation, the Captain jumped down, landing in front of Loki just as a blast of blue energy came out of his spear. He easily blocked it with his shield, causing the blast to ricochet back and hit Loki.
"You know, the last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing." Rodgers spoke as he slowly approached Loki. Bella and Natasha could hear everything through the ship's coms.
The god quickly stood up, "The soldier. A man out of time."
"Man, is he dramatic." Bella raised her eyebrows. Natasha chuckled.
"I'm not the one who's out of time." Steve spoke.
"Oh, that's our cue!" Bella exclaimed as Natasha piloted the ship towards Loki and lowered its gun.
"Loki, drop the weapon and stand down." Nat ordered through the PA system.
He didn't obey and instead shot a blast of blue at the Quinjet, which Nat maneuvered just in time. Steve used the distraction to throw his shield at Loki. They both began to fight one another; Loki clearly overpowered the Captain but he put up a good fight.
Loki pointed the scepter against Steve's helmet. "Kneel." He ordered.
"Not today!" Steve knocked the god down. But just as he had the upper hand, Loki grabbed him and flipped him over.
"This guy's all over the place." Natasha commented, observing the action.
Suddenly, Shoot to Thrill by AC/DC began playing from the Quinjet's PA system. A red warning flashed across the screen informing them the system had been hacked.
