"Bye, Gary. See you after the New Year." I shouted.
"See you Nikki." He shouted back.
I grinned, and closed my black coat around my sweater and jeans, buttoning it. Then, I pushed a strand of hair out of my face. Sadly, it was falling out of the braid after a long days work. I sighed, then started towards my flat. Hearing carols and laughter, and smelling sweets, I made my way towards the shops. Before I made it all the way, I heard a strange whooshing sound. I looked around for the source, but before I could locate it, a couple people came running forwards. They seem to know each other, but I couldn't hear what they were exactly saying.
I walked closer. I finally heard what the woman was saying.
"I know, I know, I heard it. She's alive, Mickey. I said so, didn't I? She's alive!"
"Just shut up a minute." Mickey said, looking around.
"Well, where is it then?" She looked around too.
"Excuse me?" I said, coming up behind them. "What's goi-"
Before I could finish, a blue box appeared in mid air and bounced off a couple of flats. It's just narrowly missed a van when in crash landed into a set of waste bins. The door opened and a guy fell out of it. He stumbled over to us and put his hands on Mickey's and the woman's shoulder.
"Here we are then, London. Earth. The Solar System. We did it. Jackie. Mickey. Blimey! No, no, no, no, hold on. Wait there. I've got something to say. There was something I had to tell you, something important. What was it? No, hold on, hold on. Hold on, shush, shush, shush, shush. Oh, I know! Merry Christmas!" Then, he collapsed.
The door opens again and a blonde woman comes out. Looking like the one I'm currently kneeling next to.
"What happened? Is he all right?"
"I don't know, he just keeled over. But who is he? Where's the Doctor?" Mickey asked.
"That's him, right in front of you." She nodded at the man, and stepped out, closing the door behind her. "That's the Doctor." Then, she noticed me. "Who're you?"
"I'm Nikki. Just passing by. But I'll help you."
The woman I saw first interrupted. "What do you mean, that's the Doctor? Doctor who?"
-o-
In the course of twenty minutes, we got the Doctor up to the Tyler's flat (they all told me their names. The blondes were Jackie and Rose). Rose checked on the Doctor and Jackie helped her. I was sitting on the living room floor, trying to make sense of what I saw. While I was thinking, Mickey brought me a cup of tea.
I sighed and smiled. "Thanks."
"You're welcome." He sat in front of me, holding his own cup. "You alright?"
"Yeah," I said. "Just trying to wrap my head around all of this. What exactly happened?" I took a sip of my drink.
"I think Rose should explain that." He nursed his own drink. "She knows more about it then I do."
I nodded. "Okay. Thanks for being so nice to me, Mickey."
He shrugged. "It's okay. I was in your position not that long ago, when Rose first ran off with that bloke." He shook his head, grimacing. "Anyways, what about you. What's your story?"
Sighing, I took another drink of tea. "I'd rather only explain once, so I'll wait until Jackie and Rose are here."
"Well," A new voice said. I looked over to see Rose and Jackie come out of the room they put the Doctor in. "We're here. Explain, and then I'll explain about the Doctor."
