I stood to the side as Rose, Jackie, and Mickey said goodbye. When she stepped into the TARDIS, I stepped forward.

"Thanks for letting me stay for Christmas with you." I said.

"Oh, sweetie, it's no problem." Jackie said, stepping forward, pulling me into a hug.

I hugged her back and looked at Mickey. Before I could say anything, he pulled me into a hug. I squeezed hard. When he pulled back, he surprised me by kissing me on the cheek.

"Come back sometime, yeah?"

"Of course." I grinned at both of them and waved before walking into the TARDIS.

"So," I said, stepping in. "Where're we going?"

"Further than we've," The Doctor said, gesturing at himself and Rose "Ever gone before."

I nodded, and stepped forward, grabbing the console. I learned my lesson from last time.

"Here we go!" The Doctor shouted, pushing a lever.

Whooshing, and then BOOM! I laughed, then straightened my gray sweater and shorts. I was also wearing brown shoes, hoop earrings, and little makeup. The Doctor grabbed his coat and ran out the door. I grabbed Rose's hand and she pulled us after him.

Before I could ask where we were, the Doctor launched into an explanation.

"It's the year five billion and twenty three. We're in the galaxy M87, and this? This is New Earth."

"That's just. That's just-" I said.

"Not bad. Not bad at all." He said, proud of himself.

"That's amazing." Rose said. "I'll never get used to this. Never. Different ground beneath my feet, different sky." She jumped up and down, then sniffed. "What's that smell?"

The Doctor bent down and picked a piece of grass, and put it in his mouth. Strange, how much he puts in his mouth."Apple grass."

"Apple grass."

"Yeah, yeah."

"It's beautiful. Oh, I love this. Can I just say, travelling with you, I love it." Rose grabbed the Doctor's hand and grinned.

"Me too. Come on." He looked down and smiled back. "Hold on." He looked at me. "You okay?"

While they were talking, I looked around at the flying cars and the strange buildings. My mind was racing and I was trying to calm down.

"Yeah. I'm in the year five billion and twenty three, and there's flying cars. I just need a moment to process the fact that I just time traveled." I took a deep breathe and then grinned. "This is amazing!"

A couple minutes later, Rose and the Doctor were lounging on his coat, looking at the city. I was standing and looking around. Shrugging, I went a little ways off and bent backwards. Then, I pulled my legs up and over, completing a back flip, all the while listening to Rose and the Doctor talk.

"So, the year five billion, the sun expands, the Earth gets roasted." The Doctor said.

"That was our first date." Rose replied.

"We had chips. So anyway, planet gone, all rocks and dust, but the human race lives on, spread out across the stars. Soon as the Earth burns up, oh yeah, they get all nostalgic, big revival movement, but then find this place. Same size as the Earth, same air, same orbit. Lovely. Call goes out, the humans move in."

"Hold on," I interrupted them. "You guys watched the Earth die?"

"Yeah. It was sad, but it was natural." The Doctor said.
