Jade P.O.V
i looked at my phone. i had five messages from Braden and not a single one from Hamilton.
i quickly dialed hammer.
"hey its Hammer cant get to the phone right nowbut leave a message and i can call you back" the voice came throught the speeker
"hey Hammer it me your girlfriend when you get a chance call me" i said very annoyed
when i hung up i thought about calling Braden but decided against it. If he called or sent another message i would pick up the phone or txt back. I walked over and turned on my Xbox and started to play when my phone rang.
It was Braden.
i picked up on the third ring "hey whats up" i asked while still playing
"just wanted to see if you wanted to hang out" he replied
"sure" i said cheerfully
"ok i be over in five"
"ok"
then he hung up
well that was odd i thought
i quickly changed from my pink purple and green poka-dot warm up suit that Hammer had given me into a pair of blue jean shorts and a coral and navy striped shirt and my rainbow flip flops.
Two miniutes later Braden knocked on my door. i grabbed my coach purse off its hanger and shoved my iphone into by back pocket on the way to the door.
"coming" i sand out as i opened the door
"here" he did a poor imitation of me with a smile
"very funny" i said as we walked to the elevator
"i thought so" he said pushing the down button
"so what are we doing" i asked
"going to your favorite place to eat" he smiled
"you remember" i asked a little shocked
"what do you think i have amnisia" he asked
"sure....you can keep telling yourself that" i said with a half smile.
When we walked into the brazilian steak house Braden walked up to the waitor and said something i didnt catch. the waitor smiled and waved his hand for us to follow.
when we got to our table the waitor handed us our cards and walked away.
as we sat down my phone started to ring.
I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Hamilton
oh great i thought. it was hammer.
"sorry i have to take this" i said standing up
"ok" Braden said quizidly
i walked out of the door and answered
"hey" he said
"hey" i said looking down the street
"so we need to talk" he said
"yeah tell me about it, but i cant right now, im ummm im in a meeting" i said
"ok well call me when you get out"
"if you pick up" i wispered
"what was that i couldnt hear you" he asked
"oh never mind i will call you when i get done" i said ending the call
wheni got back to the table i could see on Bradens face that i was going to have a whole lot of questioons to answer
"whats your first one" i asked jumping ahead of him
he opened his mouth then closed it then opened it again "wait what"
"what is your first question. i know you have some" i asked trying to cover my smile.
"who was that" he asked
"it was...it was ummm one of my friends from the reunion" i studdered
"right" he looked at me skeptically "i know you better than that"

Dinner went by in a rush and i enjoyed wonderful steak
as we walked out to his truck he said "i had a good time with you tonight"
"me to it was good for me to get out of the house for a while
i could feel he was about to reach for my hand so i blerted out the only thing i could think of "race ya" wow how stupid i thought we are suppost to be seniors and here we are racing
as i started to run he stood there for a moment as iff it had to register in his brain then he took off running after me. i beat him to the truck by about ten seconds.
"ok you won dont gloat" he said sliding into the drivers seat
"hahaha" i smiled "your just mad you lost to me"
i could feel it was getting wierd as we just sat there in the quiet
"so" i said trying to lighten the mood "whats been up with your mom and dad lately"
as he put the truck into gear he said "oh fine"
"thats good" i said methodically rubbing my knees
for the rest of the ride i tried to keep light hearted conversation.
When we pulled up to the house i jumped out and said my thanks then ran into the house.
i decided to take the stairs for the exercise. when i got up to my floor and was running down the hall i almost fell over something. when i looked down i saw sam sitting there.
"how long have you been here" i asked surprised and out of breath
"oh about thirty miniutes but i really have to talk to you" she said standing up
"sure come in with me"
we walked into my bedroom and she sat down on my bed
"whats up" i asked i could tell that something was bothering her.
Sam P.O.V
"Well today me and my dojo bros went and did our usual little snack break after out spar" i started
"you do that all the time what the big deal" Jade asked totally confused
"they found out who i like and want to meet him"
"ohhhhhhhh now that is a problem, do they know he is a cahill" Jade asked
"no just that the was at the 'reunion' and we met" i said
"well i also have a problem" jade said
"whats that" i asked
Jade P.O.V
"i feel like Braden kinda likes me"
at this news Sams mouth fell open "really but what about old Hammy"
"im still his girlfriend.....for now at least" i sighed
"you seem soo sad when you talk about him now....what changed?" sam asked
"i dont know it just seems that now that i am gone we are in two seperate worlds and we dont have time for eachother anymore" i went and sat down in my fuzzy chair
"i feel like that sometimes to with Dan, but we make it work" Sam tried to reassure me
then my phone rang....it was hammer
"oh great" i sighed heavily
"who"
"hammer"
"i will be going now, thanks and good luck!" with that sam ran out the door.
Jade P.O.V
"hey" i heard the voice through the speaker
"so what have you been doing while i was gone" i asked
"well the same as usual, hang out with friends, workout, play your favorite truth or dare" he droned on and on about what all they had done until i was sorry i had even asked the question
finally he asked me "what have you been doing there"
"miss you" i thought about saying but decided against it.
"Well i have....i havent really done anything but take a break and hang out with friends" i said
"well thats good"
"yep"
"your going to get a surprise tomorrow" he said
"really will you tell me what it is"
"if i told you what is was it wouldnt be a surprise would it" he laughed
"not really but i could acted surprised"
"never"
while we were on the phone i heard i girly voice calling Hammer "ohhhh Hamilton"
"yes" i heard him reply
then i couldnt hear anymore
"sorry Jade i have to go" he said in a hurry
"sure thats fine" i said with a sigh
then he hung up.
