"Khushi?"Arnav exclaimed in surprise as he saw Khushi infront of the same Devi Maa temple after a long time. Today too he had come. But this time to pray,to Khushi's Devi Maa. To make sure everything goes well..
"Arnavji? What are you doing here?"asked Khushi as she hurriedly wiped her tears away..
She had finally decided to come there today. With a prayer. To be happy..
Love,it's a very wonderful feeling. Once we love soemone sincerely,no matter what they do,we still can love. Because love understands. Love accepts and gives courage to move forward with smile. Love doesnot judge us. Love makes us better. It heals us. And Khushi truely loves Arnav..
The days away from Arnav, she tried to understand what made Arnav like that. She asked her Baba. He told her what Anjali had told him and what he had found out through his friends in Lukhnow. She understood why Arnav was so judgemental. What made him cold. His mother's death, the betrayal of his family, leaveing only him and his sister on street,it made him loath people..
With understanding comes forgiveness. Khushi forgave him. Yet forget, she could not. Each day her heart craved for that man. His chocolate brown eyes. His gentle care. His silent company. His peace. His love. She knew he loves her. He loves her more than he understands himself. Yet he stayed away, for what?
Each day was a war against herself. She was breaking down each day. No matter what her days started with him and ended with him. Yet she dared not call him. May be he would get the wrong idea again..
Helpless she was. Finally her heart told her to go to Devi Maa. She would have solution of every problem right?
So here she was. And the solution was infront of her..
"I have been here waiting for you Khushi"spoke Arnav. This time honest..
Khushi smiled. A teary smile and hugged him tight. Arnav too smiled. Finally she was there where she should be..
The bells of the temple rang,as if indicating the blessings from sky on this star crossed lovers.. Khushi closed her eyes, feeling the wind that was blowing close to her and Arnav as if telling her,you are at the right place..This is where you belong..
Arnav looked up at the saffron flag of the temple in gratitude. He had almost given up several times. It felt she would not come. Yet soemthing pulled him every morning to the temple. And he continued.
Arnav knew,he could have walked straight to her house, after Sashi uncle's acceptance. But being hold by Khushi, being in her arms. It was the most beautiful feelings. After all they were lovers,right.. And lovers should go infront of parents as lovers. Not anything else .
He had wished that he would step inside Gupta house as Khushi's boyfriend, lover. And Khushi would stand infront of his family as his girlfriend, lover. There would be no more misunderstandings. No more choices. It was only them for each other..
It was a sincere prayer from his heart. And it's said, every sincere prayer is answered.
"Khushi,Let's Go home"said Arnav as he looked at the woman in his arms. He never knew anyone would look this beautiful like this. Her face was stained with tears. Her eyes had dark circle. Her lips were broken. Her hair was a mess.. Yet at that moment Arnav saw the most beautiful person in the whole Universe in his arms..
"Do I have a home Arnavji?"asked Khushi in daze.. These days this is what stayed in her mind.. Where was her home?
"Silly woman..Your home is me. My home is you. What more do we need?"said Arnav though it hurted him seeing that look, the abandonment in her eyes..
There was a lot to heal. There was a lot to do in future. But they knew, they would not let go of each other,no matter what..
And both smiled..Finally Arnav saw God in her..
