EPISODE 1

** Title:"Descent"**

*INT. NAVY WARSHIP - OCEAN - DAY*

A young and determined ALEX (late 20s) stands on the deck of a Navy warship, overlooking the vast ocean. Explosions and gunfire erupt around him as naval warfare rages on.

**CAPTAIN STEVE:** (shouting) Move, soldier! We need to hold this position!

Alex takes cover behind a railing, firing a rifle at enemy vessels in the distance. Suddenly, a powerful explosion rocks the ship. Alex is thrown to the ground, debris falling around him.

*INT. MEDICAL BAY - NAVY WARSHIP - LATER*

Alex awakens in a dimly lit medical bay, bandages covering his wounds. The sounds of the ongoing battle echo through the ship.

**DOCTOR CARTER:** (concerned) You're lucky to be alive, Alex. You took quite a hit out there.

Alex struggles to sit up, his expression determined.

**ALEX:** (determined) I need to get back out there.

**DOCTOR CARTER:** (firmly) Your injuries need time to heal. The battle's over for now.

*INT. HOSPITAL - TIME SKIP - DAY*

A photo on the wall shows Alex in a Navy uniform, smiling with friends. He's now using a crutch to support himself as he walks.

**NURSE MILLER:** (kindly) It's been five years, Alex. You've done enough for your country.

*EXT. NAVY BASE - DAY*

A recruitment poster for the "Subnautica Project" catches Alex's eye. It promises a new chance to explore and discover a new planet.

**ALEX:** (whispering to himself) Maybe it's time for a new adventure.

*INT. SPACESHIP - COMMON AREA - DAY*

Alex stands among other members of the Subnautica Project team. They excitedly discuss the upcoming mission.

**CREWMEMBER 1 (SARAH):** (enthusiastic) I heard there are alien ruins down there!

**CREWMEMBER 2 (JAMES):** (curious) I wonder what kind of creatures we'll find.

**ALEX:** (joining the conversation) I just hope we can survive the descent.

**CREWMEMBER 3 (EMMA):** (smirking) Survive? Come on, Alex, we're trained professionals. We've got this.

**ALEX:** (smiling) I know, I know. It's just... the unknown can be a bit daunting, you know?

**CREWMEMBER 4 (LUCAS):** (grinning) Daunting? Nah, man, it's a grand adventure! Think about the stories we'll tell when we get back.

**ALEX:** (laughing) You're right, Lucas. It's definitely a story to tell. Assuming we make it back.

**CAPTAIN KELLER:** (approaching) Settle down, everyone. We're about to begin the final checks before descent. Remember, our goal is to explore and gather data then round back if you encounter any hostiles don't attack just head back here.Remember safety first.

**SARAH:** (nodding) Understood, Captain.

**JAMES:** (enthusiastic) We'll make history out there!

**CAPTAIN KELLER:** (smirking) Let's hope history remembers us for the right reasons.

The crew members share a laugh as they continue preparing for descent.

*INT. SPACESHIP - COCKPIT - DAY*

The spaceship's cockpit is filled with chatter as the crew prepares for descent.

**CAPTAIN KELLER:** (over intercom) Secure all systems. We're entering the atmosphere.
