3rd person P.O.V :-

The restaurant of the ship was packed with first class people. Waiters were running from everywhere to everywhere with drinks and snacks on their trays. Tables were filled.

Evening has always been a rush hour on the ships but today it was extreme. The restaurant hall was filled with chatters and the clinging sound of cutlery. No table was vacant. People kept ordering and their laughter and chatter was ringing all around the ship.

A very young man was sitting on a table all by himself with a piece of paper in his hand , his food untouched. He was so much engrossed in whatever was written on the paper that he didn't even care what exactly was going around him. Some people were looking up to him and we're whispering among themselves. It won't be a lie if one say he is the most eligible and respectable person present on the ship.

He was rich , he was good looking, he was an elite to add more he was a General. People were dying to get introduced to him but he had some other plans. He sat on his table , concentrating on whatever was in his hands.

A father with his daughter approached him. The duo walked all the way to his table and stood by his side waiting for him to acknowledge them but he didn't. Dressed in a 3 piece expensive suit he was looking more handsome than ever. His aura was screaming for attention. His hair was neatly combed and his black eyes were scanning the paper wildly. He didn't even look up to them when the father daughter duo stood by his side. The girl who stood by his father concluded that the young man was reading a letter.

Her father cleared his throat to gain the young man's attention and he succeeded. The young man looked up and as he did so all the people who were looking at his table stopped breathing , he was beautiful.  The young man folded the letter on a blink of an eye and slammed it on the table.

"A very good evening Mr. Ray." The father said.

The young man , Mr. Ray nodded his head.

"I am Lewis Smith and she is my daughter Miss. Arabella Smith." The father continued.

And to this too Mr. Ray only nodded his head. He was to a certain extent desperate to end this conversation short. He knew most of the people on the ship knew him but he didn't give any of them any heed.

"I am from London sir and we are on our way to visit India. We heard you have been posted as the General. Is it true?" Mr. Smith asked with a toothy grin.

"How can I help you Mr. Smith?" Mr. Ray asked with a straight face.

"No no Mr. Ray. I was just here to introduce myself and if possible to give you company. You are quite a young man and was sitting all by yoursel-"

Mr. Ray cut him short as he said ,"I am quite fine by myself."

"Oh! But me and my daughter won't mind to chat for a while." Mr. Smith added looking at his daughter who nodded shyly.

"Mr. Smith i have some important task to take care of. If you'll excuse me." Saying this he stood up and left the restaurant clutching that letter in a death grip.

Mr. Smith and his daughter stood there stunned. Arabella Smith was someone who was never rejected by anyone. She was beautiful. Beautiful will be an understatement. She thought of herself to be the most suitable match for Mr. Ray. When she gained the knowledge about Mr. Ray she persisted her father to introduce them but for what? Mr. Ray didn't even looked at her . Her and her father both stood embarrassed and rejected.

"Such a rude young man. It ain't good. Tsk tsk. Not at all and you wanted to get introduced to him? A man who's father js a jerk? I warned you lady. I did. Such a shame." Saying this her father left for his seat but the daughter stood there all flushed but soon she followed her father too.
