Its been 2 weeks since the kiss at the party. Usually when they saw each other in the hallways, they would glare or mock but now all they do is blush and avoid each other. They haven't talked yet tho and they provably never will. "I can't believe you like her" rosé whispered to jennie. She was the most exited about it. "I don't like her, i just kissed her once, nothing much" rosé rolled her eyes and leaned back on the chair. "I mean, shes pretty and all, I don't get why you're denying it jen"
"God! Just let it go will you? Its getting annoying!" jennie was certainly not in the best mood today so she felt a little bad when she snapped at rosé. It didn't happen often and she doesn't remember the last time she yelled at her until today "okay, jeez" rosé stood up, grabbed her notebooks and walked away before jennie could say anything. "Shit"
"Come on, talk to her!" Lily said, nudging alana, shaking her back and forth. "She obviously doesn't want to talk to me" she has tried to say a few words but jennies intimidating glares always made her change her mind. "This is getting annoying. You obviously like her so make a move or you will loose her forever" lily was rolling her eyes now. She was honestly sick of having to encourage alana into saying a simple hi.
"Hey..." alana whispered as she sat next to jennie. "Um, this seat is taken" alana looked around and saw no one so she stayed. "Why are you avoiding me? You haven't said a word, you haven't even been mean to me! Its so weird...I didn't mean for the kiss to happen, you brought it upon yourself. Just talk to me, please" jennie was about to roll her eyes but she saw the desperate look on alanas face and held it back. "Theres really nothing to say. The kiss was just a mistake. A silly action that I didn't think through." Than she got up and walked away, leaving alana...heartbroken?
"She will come through" lily said, rubbing her friends back gently for comfort "I don't know why i feel this way...i have never felt this way lily, im so confused.." lily rolled her eyes. How can she not realize that she likes her? She thought and kept comforting her. "Thats it. I hate her"
Jennie felt some butterflies as alana sat next to her but she had to act cold and walked away. For some reason she felt bad but usually she would feel good about it. I can't possibly like her, can i? After her parents got divorced, she has never liked anyone. Maybe its their fault for setting such a bad example of love.
"Rosé finally! Where are you?!" She has been calling her for awhile but never got an answer till now. "Bathroom" jennie felt like something was off but decided to shrug it off and just go. When she opened the door to the bathroom, someone was throwing up in one of the stalls. She frowned and opened a stall. "Rosé? Whats wrong..?" She held the blondies hair back as she kept throwing up.
"Its nothing jen, like i said, i had a lot to drink" rosé repeated for the 10th time until jennie was convinced "okay...uh so alana sat next to me..."
After pouring her heart out to rosé, she felt relieved. "You definitely like her but you can't keep hurting her or yourself. She likes you too jen, it's obvious...just do something please" for some reason, rosé really wanted them to get together. Maybe because jennie would finally be happier than ever. "Okay fine...ill ask her out" rosé grinned like an idiot and hugged her tightly. Jennie rolled her eyes and hugged back smiling. "You're hugging me like you're gonna die soon" jennie said as a joke and rosie chuckled awkwardly scratching her neck.
next few days, jennie was preparing mentally and so was alana. they both planned to talk to each other again and this time it would go better. alana approached jennie after spotting her alone in the hallway. jennie wanted to run away but her legs were stuck in one place. "hey...how are you?" alana asked a little nervously. jennie was quiet for awhile but snapped out of it "im good...i was wondering if you would like to grab a coffee sometime?" alana was the quiet one now, just for a few seconds but it felt like and eternity for jennie. "sure, why not... ill give you my phone number"
"she asked me out! oh my god!" alana was jumping around while lily kept smiling widely at her. "told you it would work out" the whole day she was nervous about what to wear and what to say and how to start a conversation but after awhile, all those thoughts went away.
rosé honestly seemed more happy than jennie "i can't believe she said yes...i though she would laugh at me and id have to say that you dared me or something" rosie rolled her eyes and started giving some advises knowing jennie wasn't listening anyway.
"your hand is so swollen, what the fuck?" jennie laughed a little but still was worried "it will go away, just focus on the movie jen" every time jennie mentioned something about rosies health overall, she got defensive. it was unusual actually but she didn't really bother to figure out why, her mind was too preoccupied by alana and her first date with her. "by the way, how are things with lisa?" lisa is rosies girlfriend. she has been out of town for a month now to go back to thailand for some time. "oh lisa is actually flying back tomorrow, im so excited to see her! i've missed her so much and..........." jennie tuned her out and got lost in her own thoughts.
rosé sighed and stopped talking. her upper right abdomen was aching a lot so she got up to take some painkillers as always. its not a good thing for her health right now but she can not handle any more pain. lisa was supposed to fly back in 2 weeks or so but after rosie told her about her liver failure which was caused by overusing painkillers, she insisted on coming back early. her condition was getting worse and worse and it wouldn't get better for awhile. a liver transplantation surgery was urgently needed right now but the doctors were waiting for a donor. the thought of dying scared her a lot and she really wanted to tell jennie about all of this but the time was never right. her symptoms are getting worse and more painful than ever. how long am i going to last?
