I was standing there on the ground far away from the place that I despised. Years ago I vowed to never come back here but now things have changed and so have promises. Funny right? It would be discernible if my loved one was brought here but the scenario was entirely various. I was here to take the one, who was nothing to me. Heck, I didn't know his name, yet there I was. Wasting my precious time on an unknown person that strangely had disturbed me for weeks. What had disturbed me about him? It was a mystery to me. His tears? His fear? or his expression when I moved closer to him and he flinched away.

What I had felt for him? Was it anger? Annoyance or maybe pity? But the pang feeling... It almost felt to me like I was hurt by his gestures. Sounds stupid to me too that I, Azariah Knight was hurt because of some unknown person?

It was demoralizing that I didn't have the answer to my actions. There was something about him that I couldn't put my finger on. A piece that was missing from its puzzle.

The hill on which I was standing, was giving me a perfect view of that old factory. An old oil plant that looked abandoned but the reality was far from it, it was a dungeon for thousands. A cage that kept innocent and helpless humans. An old dirty sight of nothing but rusted pipes and tubes. I blow a breath out in the air and patiently listen to the movement.

My sight sharpened when the sun went down and darkness fell everywhere. As the dark sky brought too many images in my mind. My jaw clenched as I controlled the urge to eradicate everything. That place reminded me of what my past held and what it did to my loved ones. Irritation, exasperation, impotent, and whatnot I was not feeling at that moment. Yet I had to be patient. I was not in a position to lose control.

I tilted my head to the side when I saw a bunch of compelled shifters running inside. Some took place outside of the factory as the previous one went inside. The whole place once again filled with the rhythm of people talking and running around.

Alpha Emmet had made two kinds of shifters, both of them were made by lab experiment, one was morning shifters and the other was for the night. Compelled shifters who were not born predators, but were forced to become one. Because of all the chemical experiments, they could only shift half. Both compelled shifters had this at their disadvantage was that they couldn't shift other than their fixed time, much to Alpha Emmet's disappointment they couldn't make the one that could shift anytime they want.

His psycho doctors weren't that smart, they didn't have any magic. They couldn't understand that they could not make a compelled shifter that strong no matter how much they tested on those human bodies. Humans are weak mentally and physically, their bodies can not tolerate the pain enough for them to shift anytime. And when they tested a lot on them, they died, and that point that Alpha was not getting.

He thought that he was a god, he was comparing himself to the Moon Goddess and only a brainless person can think like that.

Only the Moon Goddess could decide who could have a wolf soul. The ones who were lab tested had no werewolf souls. But we, who were born with wolf blood had a separate soul from our wolves. Who would talk, hear, and understand life It was all given by the Moon Goddess.

My hair flew in the air making me close my eyes because of its harshness. After years of torture and then escape, I never thought I would ever be there again. That smell touched my senses again when the scent of rotten meat, blood, and sweat filled my nose. My eyes snapped open and I looked up at the sky before blowing a whistle in the wind and suddenly the lights turned off, making everything still in their place. The sounds of screaming, cursing, and footsteps that were running around the whole place were suddenly stopped. Not even the sound of breath could be heard, it was like everyone stopped breathing.
