The boy assassin, with the piercing green eyes, had it again
left hiding place. Of course without saying anything or even leaving a message. Very typical of Damian. The League of Shadows was one Strange place.
He had traveled a lot in the world, but really only because of them
many hideouts around the globe. But he still couldn't do much
enjoy. After all, he was actually forbidden to go out. he knew
little other than the league.
Why had he learned all these languages if he didn't use them anyway?  once he was officially allowed to go out, then that was either when he  was at awere in a very remote place or with company around him.
Nonetheless, he had found his way and was now an expert at
Disappear.
This time they were in Japan near Nishiizu. It was unexpectedly green and idyllic.
Something you see in a country made up of islands and such a height
Population density showed not at all suspected. He was excited about the near the beach…
Green met blue.
He was so fascinated that he even became careless.
That's why he wasn't badly scared when he was standing on the beach and someone was scaring him
addressed.
"It's nice, isn't it?"
It took some time for him to wriggle out of his fright. Apparently
also too long since the person in front of him even tried out other languages around him to elicit a reaction.
And he just stared at the girl in front of him, far too fascinated. brunette curls and green brown eyes. She didn't look like she was originally from Japan.
Of course he understood what she said the first time but that she was apparently quiet enough to suddenly stand next to him
and speaking several languages made him a little flabbergasted.
"Are you lost?"
Damian was still staring at the stranger's face, she was a little older than him.
"I'm going to marry you", he didn't even know where the impulse came from, that to say out of nowhere, but he had the urge to say what he thought. But it was in his usual monotonous, gruff and serious way, who allowed no arguments.
Well, maybe that was because his mother had told him that he
to marry a girl who fascinated him. Otherwise his marriage would
become boring.
The girl tilted her head and looked at the boy in front of her.
"I think you still have some time to reconsider this decision.
How old are you? Four or  five?"
"Pff. I'm six!"
"Well, in some countries you're an adult at 18, in others it's 21.
So you still have at least 12 years to make a better decision, i guess "
He had never  ever experienced objections from others.
That made his mouth drop.
"No one has ever contradicted me before," he slipped out.
"One more reason to reconsider your marriage wish, young man"
"What do you mean young man here? You're not that much older than me, are you. Am I wrong?"
"Four Years Older"
"So ten"
"Exactly"
short silence.
"My name is Damien," he then introduced himself awkwardly.
"Jordis," said the girl shortly.
Damian thought for a moment.
"Norse name, probably of Icelandic origin"
Jordis was grinning now. "You're pretty clever"
The boy wrinkled his nose briefly. "I will marry you and you will want to marry me"
"Well… how about for now if we don't talk about marriage
would? And maybe become friends first?"
"I...okay"
