The sparrows

"Well, did it work?" I ask. Five looks at his phone and smiles. "It's the day after the apocalypse." Five says. Everyone starts cheering. I head upstairs with Vanya so she could show me my new room but when we walk in and there's someone sitting on the bed. "Ben?" Vanya asked in surprise. "Who the hell are you?" Ben asked while getting off his bed. "Uhh, what's going on?" I ask. "I don't understand, you're dead," Vanya says confused. "I'm very much alive." "Who are they?" A woman with glasses asks as she walks by. "No idea." "How'd you get past our security?" A tall man asks as he walks over as well. I grab Vanya's arm and speed back downstairs to the others. "Guys we have a problem," I say. "What?" Five asks. "Them." I point up to the others on the balcony "Dad who the hell are these assholes?" Yelled Ben.

Time skip to the fighting~

While everyone starts fighting I speed over to every Sparrow and punch them each in the face then use my telekinesis to send them flying to the wall knocking them all unconscious. I dust my hands and walk away with a smug look. "You're no fun," Diego says. I chuckle.
"Shit, where's the briefcase? It was right here!" Five yells. All of us start arguing about it for a few minutes. "We'll come back for it alright, but first let's get out of here before they wake back up. We need a plan." I say. Everyone agrees and walks out the door and I speed ahead of them.

(The Sparrows pov)

Marcus stops the treadmill and turns on the tv. "Wanna explain how we got our asses handed to us in just two minutes?" Marcus says. "More like two seconds," Fei says. "Not gonna lie, that was pretty badass," Jayme says. "Imagine what would've happened if we had an audience? We can't just let a bunch of strangers come in and ruin things." "So if they want a war, a war is what we'll give them," Ben says. "No we don't need to-" "Yeah, we'll show them who the sparrows are and they'll regret ever messing with us," Jayme says. The next night Marcus meets up with Vanya to make peace but doesn't return. The next day the sparrows come up with a plan to kidnap one of their members. Fei used her crows to spy on the only two she could find, Y/n and Diego.

(Your pov)

"Just get back to the hotel, Y/n." Diego says. "Why so he can keep yelling at me? If he wants me gone so bad then I'll just leave." "Y/n-" "Just cause you fucked my sister that doesn't mean you have to be nice to me, alright? I know you guys don't like me, five made that pretty clear." "He didn't mean it Y/n, he was just upset." "Really? Because it sure sounded like he meant it." I could feel my eyes water. "Y/n-" "Just leave me alone." I walk away. "Great job five." Diego says to himself before walking back to the hotel. Just then my phone rings and it's Lila. I smile and answer it. "Hey, Lila!" "Hey, where are you? I'm at the hotel dropping off Stanley I wanted to see you before I left again." "Stanley? Who's-" "I'll explain later, where are you?" "I'm a block away I'll be right there." "Alright, be quick. I don't wanna see Diego's stupid face any longer than I have to." I chuckle. "I'm on my way." I hang up and start walking back to the hotel. Suddenly a group of sparrows come at me. "What the hell?!" Before I can speed away I'm lifted into the air. I look around and see the sparrows. I sigh. "Great, just great. Just when I thought this day couldn't get any worse." I say. Suddenly everything goes black and I wake up in a bed. I speed out of the room and walk over to the sparrows eating. I look around confused. "Join us, have some muffins they're delicious." Fei says. "Please, sit." Sloane smiles while gesturing to the seat next to her. I slowly walk over to the seat and sit. "How do I know you won't poison me." I cross my arms. "It's clearly not poisoned considering we're eating." Ben says. I slowly reach for a muffin and slowly take a bite while looking at the others. "See, no poison." Ben says. "So, who are you exactly?" Fei asks. "What do you mean?" I ask. "Well you aren't related to the others, so who are you?" "Used to be their enemy, but then we sort of joined forces." "Why?" Asked Ben with a disgusted face. "Because it turned out my mother was the real enemy, not them. So I joined them, and then we killed her." I say. "Well, I suppose we should all introduce ourselves. You go first." Jayme says. "Alright, I'm Y/n." "Sloane." Sloane smiles. "Jayme, the only tolerable one." She winks, making me chuckle. "I'm Alphonse." He smiles. "Fei." "Ben." "Nice to meet you all, hey uh- where's that other guy?" Ben stabs his knife into the table making everyone jump. "That's what we'd like to know." He says angrily. I look at him and then the others in complete confusion. "Where's Marcus?" Ben asks angrily. "How should I know?" "Because he met up with your friend last night and never came back." "What are you saying? That we kidnapped him? We wouldn't do that." "Bullshit!" He yells. "If they did take him I can assure you I had no idea, I-" "she's telling the truth." Sloane interrupts. "How do you know?" Fei asks. "I just do. She didn't have a clue as to what was going on when Ben mentioned his name, it was all over her face. If they did take him, she doesn't know of it." Sloane says. "If they took your brother I'll make sure they return him." I say. After everyone finishes eating Jayme shows me to my temporary room. "Can I just say how badass you are, because wow." I chuckle. "Thanks, hey uh- where's the bathroom?" "Oh, it's right over here." She smiles and walks me to the bathroom. "Thanks" I smile and go inside, I lock the door behind me and shut the lid of the toilet, and sit on it. I shut my eyes and focus. I make myself appear in the buffet with the rest of the umbrellas. Diego turns around and jumps."Jesus, y/n where the hell did you come from?" Five turns around. "Y/n I'm-" "There's no time for fake apologies, the sparrows kidnapped me as payback for you dickheads kidnapping their brother so if you guys care even a little for me then return him." I disappear and five turns around and glares at everyone. I open my eyes back up and lift the toilet seat quietly and flush the toilet then pretend to wash my hands. I unlock the door and walk out to everyone standing outside the door. "What took you so long?" Ben says with his arms crossed. "I was only in there for like five minutes, chill out." I say. They move to the side and allow me to pass. I head to the room they gave me and sit on the bed. I look around the room and sigh. Well this is going to be one boring pain in the- there's a knock on the door. "Come in." Jayme comes in. "I take it you're probably bored so I was wondering if you wanted to come get a Slurpee and go shopping with me and Alphonso?" "Sure." I smile. "Great, but if you try anything-" "I won't, to be honest, I'd rather be here than with the umbrellas right now." that was partly true, I was still mad at five and to be honest I've been feeling really left out lately. "Let's go." She smiles and grabs my hand pulling me out of the room. We grab our slurpees and head to a small clothing store. "So, what's your style? I take it you're probably gonna be with us for a while so you might as well get a new wardrobe." Jayme says. "how about this?" she holds up a pink skirt and I snarl my nose. She chuckles. "Yeah, I didn't think so." She puts the skirt back on the rack and keeps looking through the clothes and I do the same. The three of us goof around in the store and try on a bunch of silly outfits. So far the Sparrows weren't all that bad. As we walk out of the store we see a splash pad area we all look at each other, we were all thinking the same thing. We set our bags down and run in the water. We messed around for a while running back and forth in the water and standing under this large water bucket that would fill up and then dump over our heads. We grabbed our bags and started making our way back to the academy. We joked and laughed the whole way there. We walked in and stood in the doorway soaked and laughing at something Alfonso said. Just as we're about to head up to our rooms Ben walks by and stops to look at us. He doesn't look very pleased. "Where have you three been?" He crosses his arms and glares at Jaime and Alphonso. "calm down Dad, we were just hanging out." Jayme says earning a chuckle from me and Alphonso. "She could've escaped." He says angrily. "Well she didn't, so you can quit being such a buzzkill." Jayme grabs my hand and pulls me upstairs. We change our clothes and then hang out in her room. "You know I actually kinda like you." she says. "You're alright." I joke. "gee thanks." I laugh. "You're definitely my favorite sparrow." I say. "Well I am incredibly honored." she says in a British accent. I roll my eyes playfully. "so what's your power?" I ask. " Hallucinogenic spit, basically I spit a green venom that causes my targets to have hallucinations upon reaching their face." "That's so cool!" "What's yours?" "Well, I actually have five." She looks at me curiously. "it's sort of a long story but my powers are invisibility, super speed, telekinesis, flight, and astral projection." "Ooh! Can you show me?" I speed around the room and then turn invisible I pop up behind her. "Boo!" she jumps up and laughs. I fly around the room and then open and shut the door. "Astral projection is definitely my coolest power." I sit next to her. "So how does it work?" "I have to shut my eyes and focus on where I want to be and then my soul will appear there, only no one can see me endless I allow them to I shut my eyes and appear in the hallway I open the door and come inside her bedroom. She looks at my soul and then at my body sitting next to her and she laughs and looks at both again impressed. She stands up and puts her hand through my soul's body. "When I use my astral projection my soul is in the room but I'm not physically there, it would be like talking to a ghost."
Jayme laughs still looking at my soul and back at my body impressed. "This is so fucking cool!" There's a knock on the door and I go back into my body. Jayme opens the door and rolls her eyes once she sees Ben. "What?" She asks clearly annoyed with his presence. "Yeah, I'm glad you're getting along with our enemy and all but I was just letting you know that dinner is ready." He talks away. "Come on, you're sitting next to me." She smiles. I follow Jayme to the kitchen and sit next to her. We laugh and joke throughout all of dinner. Before we can make our way back up to her room Ben stops us and asks to speak to me alone. Jayme sighs. "Try not to scare her off, will you? She's like the only person I can actually stand." She walks up the stairs. I look at Ben and wait for him to talk. "You could've left earlier, why didn't you?" He asks. I shrug. "Seriously, why didn't you?" I sigh. "Because to be honest... I don't really wanna go back." "Does that have anything to do with you and that... Diego or whatever his name is arguing earlier?" He asks. "Yeah..." He looks at me curiously. I hold my tears. "Can I go now?" He nods. I run up the stairs and go into Jayme's room. We hang out for a bit and then I head to my room. The reason I stayed with the umbrellas was because I wanted a family. And for a little while there I felt like I at least had some sort of one. I knew Lila's plan, she was angry and was going on a little hunt to find herself and release all that anger. And my "mom" was dead. Five, Diego and Klaus were usually the only ones that were nice to me. The rest of them didn't like me and they made it pretty obvious, I wasn't sure why considering I was nothing but nice to them. I just couldn't get five's words out of my mind. I know I shouldn't care what he says or even thinks but I do. Five was the first one who actually accepted me so to hear those words coming from him...

Earlier~

"I don't need your fucking help I told you that! You're not my fucking sister so stop pretending like you care so fucking much! Just go back to Lila! I know you think you're helping but you're not! You're doing the complete opposite!" the anger in me had faded and all I felt was pain. Five stopped when he realized what he had said, he was so stressed and aggravated that he just blew up. He immediately regretted every word that had escaped his mouth. "Y/n-" "No, no it's okay. Thanks for finally letting me know how you feel about me." I wanted to cry but I refused to let them see me weak. I refuse to let them know I was hurt. Even if it was sort of obvious. I walk toward the front doors and leave. "Y/n! Y/n wait- he didn't mean it!" Diego yells while running after her. "It's no secret that I don't like her but-" Allison says before Klaus cuts her off. "That was harsh man..." Klaus says while hopping off the counter and then leaving the room. Five puts his face in his palms. "Shit.." he mumbles to himself. Did he mean it? Or was he just angry? It didn't really matter...he shouldn't have said it. It hurt like hell. And after everything I had done for him...
