✿ — august 17th . — ethan's pov
"I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT HER." i mumbled. "who?" my older brother justin quizzed. "this one girl, her name is jocelyn or something." i said looking down flipping through my homework pages. "ain't you datin' that one girl?" he said raising an eyebrow. "yea, but i don't know. she just don't seem like she feelin' me and i don't think im feelin' her forreal." i sighed.
"oh, well why you not breakin' up wit her?" he said again. "you ask a lot of questions gang.." i deadpanned him, "my fault, im just curious." he chuckled. "im tryna break up with her, i just don't know how. we only been together like two or three days." i said starting to write down notes. "just tell her you don't think its right to be with her." he said "i mean you said you both don't seem like you feelin' each other, so why not just tell her that and end it." he said shrugging pulling a blunt out of nowhere and up to his lips. "i guess." i said. "but i don't know if jocelyn gonna get with you, cause ain't they like best friends?" he said, "i don't know bro." i replied getting annoyed. "aight, my bad. ima go out with jstar though." he said grinning seeing how annoyed i was. "safety." i mumbled as he walked out of my room.
i yawned before getting up and walking to the kitchen, "hey ethan." dd smiled, "yo." i said opening the fridge grabbing a go-gurt.
"DAVID!" i heard a familar voice shout, "OPEN THE DOOR, ITS COLD!" a girl shouted again knocking on the door. i slid my feet across the marble floor in my socks trying to see who was at the door, dd was unlocking the door and swung it open. "jesus." she said walking in crossing her arms, dd shut the door behind her. my knees felt weak at the sight of her, she had her curls out with a durag on and a beanie over it. she was wearing a black champion hoodie with grey leggings on, she had white nike socks overlapping her leggings as she had black crocs on her feet. "dude i fricking hate you, do you know how cold it is." she scoffed, "my bad bae— don't call me that, weirdo." she interrupted him making him laugh.
she took her crocs off before taking her hoodie off leaving her in a cropped black long sleeve. "eww, why is you here." i joked grinning. "boy, shut the hell up." she repsonded smiling at me rolling her eyes. "make me" i said, "don't let me do you how i did on the second day, little boy." she said making dd laugh quietly. i groaned, "you caught me off guard." i smacked my teeth before walking back into the kitchen to geek over her a little bit.
i heard my brother and her talking so i tuned in. "aight, lets go to my room." dd mumbled as she replied with a simple, "okay." before i watched them go upstairs. my stomach ached unknowing of what they were going to do, i threw away the empty go-gurt away before grabbing a caprisun walking back upstairs and into my room shutting the door.
i sat in my room scrolling on my phone before hearing them laugh due to my room being right next to davids. i sighed before putting my phone down and turning my tv and playstation on.
i heard david's door open after like four hours making me jump from my bed and opening my door as well. i was met with jocelyn and her low eyes that im assuming were from smoking. "you aight?" i questioned not being able to read her expression, i'm never able to read hers, it kind of stresses me out.
"im chillin', you?" she said smiling. "same." i said awkwardly, regretting it immediately. we stood there making eye contact in silence for almost a minute, there was tons of tension. "so how are you and my best friend?" she asked. i cleared my throat before responding, "we're aight. i don't think she feelin' me tho." "oh, sorry." she gave a pityful look. "it's cool, i ain't really know her forreal.. she just pretty." i admitted and she snickered right after, "boy quit playin on my friend then!" she laughed, i can tell she laughs a lot when shes high. "anyway what you sneakin' around my house for little girl?" "first of all, i'm older than you.. two, i'm mad hungry. what you got?" she slid her tongue against her lips. "mad food for sure." i smiled as we ran downstairs.
it had been 15 minutes since we've been downstairs munching on anything we could find. at this point all we were doing was laughing and reminiscing on when she decked my shit.
"you fell down so hardd" she dragged out grabbing her stomach from all the laughter she's been letting out. i deadpanned her, "forreal it ain't even that funny." she attempted to give a straight face but couldn't stop smiling, which caused me to smile too. david made his way downstairs without us even noticing due to being distracted by all the laughing we've been doing. "girl you just gon' leave me?"my older brother said putting his hand on his heart acting hurt. "boyy, you was on a freaky timing. i was not." she grinned. "aight i can't blame you." he smiled.
"i wanna watch a movie." jocelyn said confidently with a straight face causing me and dd to laugh.
30 minutes into the movie she picked out, which was home alone, she fell asleep. she was laying against the arm of the couch with my legs across hers. dd had fallen asleep in the love seat right next to the couch, by her of course. my neck started hurting from the position i was laying in, and after they fell asleep i took a edible and my body was tingly. i got up and grabbed three throw blankets, laying one across david, and one on jocelyns legs. i laid my head against the side of her leg getting comfortable so i could fall asleep. about 5 minutes later my eyes got heavy and i passed out.
