Ein's POV

I slowly opened my eyes, a blinding light filling my vision.
"Am... Am I dead?" I thought to myself when I heard multiple other voices.
"How long is it gonna take for him to wake up?" A feminine voice said.
"Hmm... He's supposed to wake up today... It's been almost a year now." A different, masculine voice responded. I attempted to sit up from the bed I was lying on.
"Woah, hold on! Stay low, the wound on your chest isn't fully healed!" The woman said in a panic.
"Ugh... How- Where am I...?" The two of them looked at me.
"You explain sis, I'll head to the kitchen and prepare the food." The man said, leaving the room. I looked to my side and out the window, it looked like I was in a hotel room... Why? How am I still... Alive?
"Hey, pal. Y'know, you're lucky I saw you bleeding out and still breathing, hehe. You probably would've been dead if I didn't make it in time! But seriously, I don't know what happened over there, the place looked destroyed. A lot of people were injured, some were still breathing but not awake at all. They were all unconscious, kinda creepy." She chuckled.

"Why... Why would you save a random person you don't even know? Are you that dumb? You could've saved a very dangerous person, y'know." I scolded her.

"Yeah, about that... I can kind of see memories, so I took a peak. Don't worry, I haven't looked into your personal life... yet." She hummed, a look of innocence crossing her face. I was confused, where even am I? Where is this place?

"Okay... How did you two manage to get me here then?" She fell silent for a moment.

"Oh! A few friends of mine helped me out! One of them can like... manipulate stuff and make objects fly and stuff! Kind of like a witch, I guess?"

I chuckled softly. "You're one pretty dumb person, but that ability is... Useful..." She made a face that I can't quite describe.

"Mmhm... Don't make any wrong moves Ein. My little brother and I have some pretty bad anger issues that we've managed to control, and I'm not trying to brag about how 'cool' and 'dangerous' we are but if we lose it, it's done. The last time, I got suspended from my university for outing someone's 'secret'. It's not MY fault she cheated on her boyfriend, but somehow I'm the bad guy? Hmph." I sighed, trying to adjust my clothing and look at the injury on my chest. I pulled my T-shirt up, seeing the bandages covering my skin.

"You wanna take it off? See how bad the scar is?" I looked up at her, nodding. "Hm, alright. I'll get the scissors."

She opened a drawer, grabbing a pair of scissors before returning to my side.

"Stay still, I don't want to slice you up or anything." She'd joke. I stayed perfectly still, waiting for her to finish as I listened to the sound of the scissors cutting through the bandages. "Done. Get up slow, okay?"

I followed her advice, slowly getting up to look at the wound. My eyes widened as I saw how large the wound truly was, It looked like an actual giant had sliced me in the chest with its claws... I mean, Aaron was that wolf... Damn it, who did this? I thought everything had finally ended, but I guess not. I swear to Irene if it repeats I'll-

My thoughts were interrupted when the door opened.

"Don't worry, it won't be happening again... If only we could cure you, We don't have the materials to cure the potion that's been used on you. We know about Michael, the bastard threatened our mother before so the bitch isn't here right now, don't worry." The man grumbled. "Oh- my apologies, my name is Cyrus and my sister over there is Valentina."

"Okay then... It's nice to finally meet some people."

"We'll get you out of this room then. Move slow, Ein, your wound is still healing so you need to be careful." I nodded, following their instructions.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Time Skip~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After eating breakfast, I returned to my room and was sitting around with pretty much nothing to do. I heard a knock on my door, and Valentina entered my room.
"Oh good, you're awake. I have something to give you." Valentina hummed, walking up to me and handing me a... phone? "Don't get me wrong, but you need a phone. You can set up your social media and email and whatever else, but first we should probably get you a phone number."
"Oh... Thanks."
Maybe... Maybe I could trust them.
