Lavender

Chapter 1

The morning was not a bright one the sky was filled with acke just showing what type of day it was going to be, Lavender was a woman whose character was strong though she was never in the best situations yes her smile could brighten to heaven, and her beautiful green eyes with a blue tint in the perfect light.

Three years ago she strode into a local café she visited quite a lot It was how she studied for her college courses she enjoyed the calmness and solitude it provided, but unluckily that day Jake had decided that he needed coffee on that particular day aswell. His charm was something that drew her in like a fish on a hook, and she simply couldn't escape. They became inseparable so quickly thinking back on it was the stupidest mistake she could make but honestly only the heavens could stop there 'true love'.

She was head over heels for Jake, his sweet words played her tune. If you asked her this man was god sent pure perfection he had light brown hair his eyes a green as emerald. Makes me sick, he always had a thin beard never grew past a inch his eye brows thick but he clearly kept them done. His hair was styled as if he put gel in his hand and pushed it back and was done. his sharp jaw straight lips and stupid flower tattoo on his left arm that sat on one bicep that never showed unless he wore a wife beater.. ironic

he always smelt of salt almost like a beach the fresh smell of walking onto a windy beach which was always confusing to her since they lived in a small town the closet body of water was a lake but that's besides the point. The honeymoon phase of the relationship was pure bliss for lavender. Jake was caring and loving so touchy his hand would hold her cheeks making her stare at him and would kiss her 'lovingly'.

However all good things must come to a end right? As months passed the act began to drop he no longer had to pretend he had her hooked, Jakes real personality began to show and he wasn't the man she thought he was.  

The perfect man turned out to be angry constantly, a ticking time bomb. And unfortunately for lavender was on the receiving end of his cruelty, she found herself trapped in a abusive relationship.  Yes she wasn't stupid she considered leaving but Jake was a narcissistic asshole she would would sit him down and tell him it was over but he'd tell her a sob story and promise to change. But maybe she was stupid but she'd believe him every time it became a cycle; he'd assault her, than the sob story would come out about how his work was so hard than repeat.

Despite the pain, lavender held onto his empty promises. She had never worn foundation before but everything changed ugly bruises would make there appearance and she had a life a job a future college career but that didn't last long either he convinced her to drop out and she did.. So now her life full  of long sleeve a beaten face with makeup and bruises. Lavender was living a nightmare

One day lavender decided she was going to cook them dinner, so she went to the grocery store. She had it all planned out he didn't get home till 9 pm shed have the table ready for him but what was weird was when she arrived home his car was outside it was only 3 pm. But she brushed it off they did live in a neighborhood so it could've been there neighborhood car, So she walked into the house hearing his voice but didn't quite understand what he said so she greeted him with a smile and began walking towards the bedroom where his voice was coming from. Completly unaware of the storm that was brewing, as she entered their bedroom she found Jake in bed with another woman. and her smile faded and tears began to develop she was left in shock her world was crashing down. 

How could he do this to her she endured so much for there happiness she should be happy she was free, but at the same time it had been 3 years of her life.. she quit college that she busted her ass to pay for she's splitting money with him to pay for this house that she sure as hell could pay for alone so without saying a world she went too there dresser and began putting her clothes in a bag.

He shattered her trust, Jake rushed out of bed putting on pants and by the time he did she was heading to the door with her grocery's that she didn't completely bring in she grabbed everything of her that she could but as she grabbed the door handle he grabbed her 

" babe listen you have to forgive me I've been going threw so much.. and you've refused me sex for weeks i understand you have issue but think about me"

his words bubbled hate and disgusted in her heart and she almost screamed but she turned to face him with tears running down her face and her makeup began to melt reveling the bruise on her cheek "There is no way your blaming me for this.. you ..you PIECE OF SHIT.. IVE ENDURED FOR YEARS AT FIRST I FELT BAD FOR YOU BUT NOW YOUR BLAMING ME FOR YOU CHEATING.. IM DONE YOU KNOW WHAT FUCK YOU WERE OVER" and as she finished her fit of anger she slammed the door running to her car dumping everything in it and just drove until she found somewhere far and pulled over slamming her head on the steering wheel.

And let out a sob, she wasn't a  screamer she was usually very quiet but now she was done she was tired her emotions were everywhere he can have the house if he can even afford it..
