Lavender

Chapter 2

Lavender had made a decision she was done she wasn't putting up with any more of this the bruises she had now were the last she would have caused by another person.

A couple of years passed she was a new person she felt she cut her hair short.. because hair holds memories.  Now that she felt free she took up a new hobby she did as a child so it wasn't new but still, She loved the ice she felt as if she was flying every bit of issues that she had before would melt away.

Lavender was awoken by her 5th alarm which always happens to be the loudest at 6 am so she was jolted awake quite literally not realizing how close she left her phone, she let out a yawn as she forced herself out of bed which was more like just sitting up grabbing her cup from the side table taking a sip of water before she turned off her alarm checking her phone. 

Then once she was satisfied she got out of bed put on her slippers heading to her bathroom. The first thing she saw was her mess of hair and she let out a small grown but she was relieved she took a shower last night so she didn't have to deal with that she just put curling cream into it so it fixed the frizz and brushed it out letting it rest on top of her shoulders. and once she was satisfied with that she put a headband on and washed her face applying her usual moisturizer a tinted lip gloss and some mascara something simple so she could get out of the house as soon as possible.

once she was satisfied she put on an oversized white sweater with a black shirt warm tights and a pair of boots and leg warmers that were also white. Since it wasn't a far walk from her apartment she put her water bottle skates and a few snacks in a backpack put on her headphones and was ready to go.

The rink was still closed when she arrived, but Lavender didn't mind. She enjoyed the weather at the moment so she sat at a nearby bench waiting for the doors to open. meanwhile, on the other side of town, a man named Emmett was getting dressed in his usual business attire. He was preoccupied, thinking about the upcoming meeting.

As the clock ticked closer to seven, lavender slowly stood the second 7 hit and they opened the doors so she walked in showing the guy her membership card and they let her right in. 

At the same time, Emmett got into his car. Today's meeting was at his business partner's ice rink. Which was quite an unsual venue. but it suited him just fine.

The moment lavenders skates were on lavender was on the ice as she glided across the ice listening to her music left content 

As Emmett arrived, he noticed a single skater elegantly gliding across the ice he watched her from afar, captivated by her grace and passion for the ice.

 lavender had only had the ice to herself for a few moments when she saw the man watching her despite the warmth from her clothing she shivered and she smiled at him though it was all for show only masking her discomfort.

Emmett picked up on her discomfort, just as quickly as she showed it but he couldn't keep his eyes off of her but he was distracted by his business partner approaching him 

"I see you've seen are mest member she's been here for a while. now would you like to go sit  you can watch her all you want but I'd like to speak with you about the funds you offered to this place" 

Emmett nodded towards him following him to the bleachers and their meeting began.

A few hours had passed and the meeting had ended but before it did lavender left the ice out of breath putting her skate guards on as she walked to her seat taking a sip of her water bottle sitting, and as soon as Emmett was released from his meeting he made sure his business card was in his pocket and walked up behind the woman putting his coat around her frame.

Then he walked to the front of her giving her a second to set down her water" Ah sir thank but I can't take this,"

but before she could finish he locked eyes with her " But why not?" 

"I was about to leave and I can't take your clothing," she said as she went to remove it before the male stopped her "Honestly it freezing in here and for a little one like you you defenitly not covered enough, adding on with your amazing performance i think you deserve it" 

"I.. well thank you" Though he seemed like a nice man she was scared she fall for him He was just someone trying to do something nice and she couldn't have a repeat of Jake 

"well I better get going can I have your number to return this to you "

he smiled as he turned towards her gesturing to the coat pocket when she picked out the business card she observed it for a moment then she saw the number and gently smiled back "I can get it back to you Wednesday if that's alright with you I have work the other days "

" yes that's perfectly fine" 

she was desperate to leave his gaze not that she was uncomfortable by it it seemed so caring she just wanted to lean into it and she simply couldn't he was a stranger but she could do one thing to thank his kindness she gave him a hug 

and it completely took back the man as he gently hugged her back as if she would break and leaned his head down so his nose rested in her hair "Go ahead little one I don't want you getting caught in lunch rush" he kissed her head and shewed her off and she smiled changing over shoes rushing out and waved and he was left in awe in her beauty and the fact that her kindness was left over all of those walls she built up he wondered what caused them
