The Choice

Chapter 1: The fight that started it all

Elena's Pov:

*FLASHBACK*

"Damo-oh god faster!" I say as Damon pounds into me. "Right there Elena..." he says quickening his Pace. both of them slightly shiver at the pure intensity of the moment, "Damon-n?" I say stuttering. "Yes beautiful?" he tells her. "I'm close...!"

*END OF FLASHBACK*

That was two months ago, and a lot has gone down since then. I drive to the boarding house nervous about what I am about to do, two months ago me and Damon (Stefans's brother) slept together.... Yeah, I know it doesn't sound great but, let me explain the whole story. One night me and Stefan were planning on going on a date, but Stefan cancelled, like he always does.

 Anyways that night I decided to talk to Stefan about our relationship. when I went to talk to Stefan what I found, had me fuming. I walked in just to see Stefan drinking a bottle of beer and watching tv! "Are you serious?!?" I say enraged at Stefan, "Here we go again..." he huffs. 

"You cancelled our date just to get drunk!" at this point I am so mad, nothing Stefan can say could fix this. "Chill Elena, it's just one drink. stop overreacting." "Just one drink!?! Stefan, the only time I have ever seen you drink is when you turned off your humanity! I can't believe you!" Stefan just looks at me, not saying anything. "Look Elena, I'm sorry but I just needed a drink tonight, okay?" I calm myself down enough to not scream, "Sorry Stefan, it's just been a really hard week and, well I needed this date. but I come here just to find you drunk..." Eventually me and Stefan agree that we should cancel the date and just watch a movie together.

*Later that week*

Stefan and I had rarely talked since that night, we would say hi and maybe wave but there was truly no interaction. I had tried to talk to Stefan so many times but, he just ignored me. At this point I was just so exhausted that all I wanted was a little spark between us, but there was nothing. 

I decided to ask Caroline and Bonnie about it, so I invited them over. The first one to show up was Caroline, I guess Stefan had told her something was going on between us, because when she arrived you could see the worry splattered across her face. Caroline came in. It only took a couple more minutes for bonnie to show up. Once we were all here, I guided them upstairs, into the bedroom. "Elena what is this about?" bonnie says confused, waiting for an answer.  

I look at bonnie, not sure of what to say, but then Caroline cuts in. "Stefan and Elena are breaking up." I look shocked at Caroline, is that what Stefan told her? that we're breaking up!?! "WHAT!" I say so loudly I think the neighbors could hear me.

I try and explain to bonnie about our situation, "I just want something, anything! Stefan won't even talk to me!" I say tearing up. Caroline hugs me, saying "Well, then tell him that..." I had realized that Caroline was right, if something was wrong, I needed to talk to Stefan. Caroline eventually convinces me to call Stefan, and I do. Stefan arrives shortly after, but something is off about him...? Caroline and Bonnie eventually leave to give us some privacy, that is when shit went down...

"Elena..." Stefan says, seeming a little off. "Stefan, I just want to be your girlfriend, okay? that's all I want, and you are making it very hard for me right now...!" Stefan looks at me with some shock. "I just want you to touch me, kiss me. JUST DO SOMETHING!" I scream, but I am shut up by Stefan's soft lips touching mine....
