A lost soul

Monique ran home immediately. When she got to her house her entire body was shaking with thoughts flooding her mind. Talking to her self quietly she kept on asking herself many questions which were overwhelming her. "How I'm I going to tell mom and dad? Where is Anna gone to? Are they going to find her? Where is she? Is this a prank? What's going to happen to her?" Monique kept talking out loud. Inside her left pocket she reached out to her house key. She then tried to slip it in the hole barely sliding it in with her hands shaking with fear. The door suddenly opened by it self, a man walked outside the house looking upon Monique. She sighed a breath of relief knowing it was her dad. Monique thought it was a police officer that knew about Anna. She knew it was time to tell her dad and fess up. "Anna is missing." Monique mumbled. "I'm sorry come again." Her dad said. Monique didn't feel like uttering the words I lost my sister in the woods because I was busy worrying about my own life to her temperamental father. "Moni what did you say?" Her father asked. "I lost Anna in the woods. She's missing as in gone. I think she was kidnapped." Monique's voice trembled with fear. "You what? How? Where? When? Are you serious? Is this a joke? What were you thinking?"Monique's fear disappeared with an expression of disappointment filled her face. She knew exactly what her dad was going to say and do.
Her dad first called the police and then called Monique's mom from work. Anna and Monique had different moms . Monique's moms was a professional business decorator and Anna's mom was unknown. She had an affair with Monique's dad when Monique was 1 year old. The girls were stepsisters basically. But something eerie was suspected of Anna's mom. Anna had only met her a couple of times. Mostly on holidays and birthdays. Every time Anna saw her mom she was ageless and looked like she was 25 which is weird because Anna's mom is 39 years old. To Anna she assumed that her mom ageless like Jennifer Lopez her idol. But to Monique she thought Anna's mom had facial surgery. But the question was how did she get that money? Monique's assumption was that Anna's mom was a hooker and that's how she got the money.
But little did the girls know that there's more to the story. When Monique's mom got home she immediately sobbing. You couldn't blame her after you supposedly loose a child that's the only thing you do. The police got there and they asked about where the kidnapping took place. Monique confessed everything that happened from school to the woods. The police left the house but two detectives came 15 minutes later and went in Anna's room it see if she planned to run away. They found no evidence that she ran away so it was investigated as a kidnap. Half an hour later the police came back and said "there was combat boots footsteps next to Anna's footsteps." Monique's mom Ashley fell to the ground crying her eyes out. "We're doing everything we can to find your daughter ma'am. We'll try to bring her back as soon as possible. Good day ma'am. "It's 6:07 p.m. officer." Said Monique's mom in a shaky voice.
