It was almost new years. I was outside in a black pencil-skirt and a pullover. I was standing next to my friends from church. Church? Yes. This new years eve was going to be celebrated with my friends from church. I was excited because I couldn't wait to see the fireworks. And finally the countdown started. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... "2015!!!" is what almost everybody shouted as the fireworks lit up the night sky. It was beautiful and I was dazed. I couldn't take my eyes off of them for even a second. I've always loved fireworks and this time they had hundreds of them because we were about a hundred celebrating the new year. The fireworks continued for a while, but eventually seized. I went to the main hall, since I had finished my glass of sparkling wine. Chloe, a friend I had met at the youth group, came up to me with a big grin on her face. "We have to take pictures." She said it in a way that didn't allow you to refuse. I chuckled, put down my glass and followed her to one of the smaller rooms in the church's building. She opened the door and I entered. All of my friends were already there and amongst them was my sister Layla. The first thing she said was: "June hurry up. Or will take them without you." I hurried to their side and we took amazing photos. All of the photos were sooo cool.
After sitting and chatting about this and that my dad entered the room and said: "Girls we're leaving." So Layla and I said our goodbyes and left. It was past two when we arrived home and I suddenly felt all the energy leaving my body. I barely made it to my bed. I was just able to change into my PJs, turn off the lights and slip under my blanket before a wonderful dream engulfed me.
