You sat down on the edge of the bed, in front of the large mirror. You stared, face to face with yourself. In this view, you saw every part of the front of your body. For a mere second, you seemed to be okay with yourself. Then everything fell apart.
You noticed the way your face was - your eyes, your mouth, your hair, your nose. Everything seemed to be wrong on you, nothing entirely the way you wished it was. Either it was you were too big boned or little boned, short or tall, skinny or fat. Either way, nothing seemed right. You weren't like 'them'. You weren't perfect. You'd never be.
You ran your hand through your hair, then felt your face. You touched your body, watching intently in the mirror. You gulped.
How did you manage to not get picked on as much as you criticized yourself? Though, as you were told, "You are your biggest critic". And you stuck by that.
Sighing, you let out a shaky breath, feeling tears stream down your face. Did you not realize yourself crying?
Honestly?
After a few moments, you let out another breath and laid back. After another moment, the door opened and Q sat on the edge of the bed near you. He laid out beside you, pulling you close to him.
"I love you. That's all that matters."
That's all you really needed - this moment.
