Lightening flashed outside the window, harsh thunder following. Your nerves tenses as the house shook.
"You okay there, hun?"
"Huh?" Your voice shook as you looked at the man who held you, "Oh, yeah. Totally fine." You lied and tried giving him a smile. Joe merely frowned and sighed.
"Your scared, aren't ya?"
You bit your bottom lip and then nodded. Joe smiled softly and cuddled you, placing a kiss on your lips.
"I'm here, nothing to be afraid of."
There was another crack of thunder and you shook. He then hummed softly, your nerves calming at his sweet voice. And it wasn't long before you were asleep in his arms.
