As he started to wake up, he noticed something quite.. off. The birds weren't chirping, the trees weren't rustling, and the neighbors weren't noisy. As he opened his eyes he felt like he closed his eyes. "What's happening?" He thought. He got out of bed in a hurry and opened his door to the house. Nothing was outside besides empty houses. He looked around profusely still not quite understanding. "HELLO!!?" *He shouted, for anybody who could here him. No noise. He wondered what happened to everybody. He then looked around and he went to the store. Nobody was there. He grabbed a box of chocolates. He walked out of the store. Nobody tried to stop him. William felt guilty out of his mind, running away from the scene. William tripped over his shoe laces, falling and bruising his knee. "Shit!" He complained. He kept walking. William looked around, hoping to see a person; an animal at least, but, nothing.
