Chapter 2: Nothing can escape her

(Y/N)'s POV

We were sitting on the couch. Ella was playing with Duck while me and mother were talking.

Mother: *Sigh* When i see you two, i see me and your father. I guess history repeats itself once again.

(Y/N): Huh... Did he play with me when i was little? I can't recall.

Mother: Of course. He loved you with all his heart. The only time i've seen him cry, was when you were born.

I chuckled.

(Y/N): Because he knew what he was getting into?

She frowned.

Mother: Don't joke like that. It's not the time.

(Y/N): Sorry...

Mother: Anyway, he was the toughest guy i've ever knew. You're just like him.

(Y/N): Thanks. I don't really remember him that much, but i remember that wanted to be just like him when i grew up.

Mother: You already are, son. You already are.

Ella: You're the best husband i could ever ask for!

Duck: And the best dad in the world!

I smiled at my family.

(Y/N)'s mind: God, i love them so much.

The TV program was interupted.

Reporter: We interrupt this program for some breaking news.

Ella: Hey, turn up the volume.

I did so.

Reporter: Last night, a patient from Arkham Asylum escaped around 11 PM.

Ella: Again? Did they ever caught the last guy that escaped?

Mother: You mean the one with the green hair and the scars on his face?

Ella: Yeah, and the maniacal laughter.

Reporter: The patient's name is Sophia Sato.

A photo of Sophia appeared on the screen. Mine, Ella's, and my mother's faces grew pale.

Ella: Oh no...

Duck: Hm? Who's that?

Reporter: The patient has killed 28 guards on her way out. We advice citizens to lock their doors and stay inside as much as possible.

Mother: She's... back...

Ella: W-What are we gonna do?

Duck: I don't understand. Who is she?

Ella looked at Duck with a concerned face. She placed a hand on his shoulder.

Ella: Ducky... we have to tell you a story...

Me and mother went to them and knelt down.

(Y/N): *Sigh* A few years before you were born, something happened. Something terrible. The girl i was with before started hunting your mother and undcle. She even kidnapped her and me and your uncle had to go and rescue her. That's when he...

A tear dropped from Ella's eye.

(Y/N): She became a patient of the asylum shortly after.

Duck: W-Why does she hate you, mommy?

Ella: I think it's jealousy.

(Y/N): I caught her with another man and she went crazy after that.

Duck: Oh... So she's... bad... right?

Mother: Yes, Ducky, she's bad. Really bad.

Duck looked down.

Duck: What are we gonna do?

Ella: We can't take her on. Not while Duck's here.

I thought for a moment.

(Y/N): We gotta leave the house.

Mother: What?

(Y/N): That's the first place she'll look for me. We gotta leave.

Duck: Where are we gonna go?

Mother: I have a friend up north. In a town called Klamath.

Ella stood up.

Ella: *Sigh* Alright, let's pack our things. Come, Ducky.

Duck: Coming!

They left.

Mother: How do you feel?

(Y/N): I don't know, mother. I thought the time there will fix her mind, but she just got crazier. She never forgot about me.

Mother: She killed your friend, right?

(Y/N): Yeah... My best friend actually.

Mother: Her mind was gone back then. People like that can't redeem themselves.

(Y/N): I suppose... I just really wanted for her to get better.

Mother: I understand.

She stood up.

Mother: Come on, let's help Ella and Duck.

I nodded and stood up.

Sophia's POV

Sophia's mind: I'm in front of his house. My darling is here.

I sniffed the air. His scent's still here. I missed it so much. I knocked on the door. Nobody answered. I started banging on it. After a few minutes i knocked it down. I didn't see anybody.

Sophia: (Y/NNNNNN)~ It's meeee~ Come out wherever you are~

I noticed most of the stuff were gone. I got angry.

Dophia: WHERE IS HE?! HOW DARE HE RUN FROM THE ONE WHO LOVES HIM?!

I started throwing everything around.

Sophia: NOOOOOOOO!!! COME BACK!!!

After some time of trashing the place, i noticed a phone on the ground.

Sophia: Oh?

I picked it up. It didn't even have a password. There were only a few contacts in the register, but amongst them i saw 'Dad'. I smirked.

Sophia: Well, hello~

I put the phone in my pocket and walked out.

Sophia's mind: This'll be enough to find him. But first i gotta get some help. And i know where exactly to get somebody that will do everything i tell him.

I took out the phone i found and dialed an old friend of mine.

Sophia: It's me. I'm gonna need that crystal of yours.

Third POV

Sophia can be seen entering a graveyard, with a shovel in her hands. She stopped in front of a grave. On it , a single name was written...
