Chapter 31: Farewell

The cloudy day, rain pouring down on the dim lit building. Draken was walking through Providence with a dull and blue expression on his face with a gloomy mood.

His black hair laid flat down to his back with his burgundy turtleneck and black pants. Another meeting was finished about the new information about Kisaki and Sterling's whereabouts, but info concerning Mikey, which cluttered his thoughts.

Draken entered through the motion sensor doors into the infirmary. The smell of medicine and hand sanitizer filled the air as multiple nurses were put to work on patients arriving back from their missions. Draken went towards room 13, opened the door sensor door to see Mikey laid on the hospital bed with bruises and bandages, his breathing was stable, but he looked completely exhausted.

Draken sat on the chair next to him, and cupped Mikey's hand into his, putting his head on them. A tear escaping his eye as his strong composure was fleeting. " I'm sorry Mikey, for not considering how you felt....It's been two days...when are you gonna wake up?"

Two Days Ago

"Mikey planned all of this?" Draken said in a shocked and low tone. Madame Carlisle finished explaining to Bonten Mikey's solution that he brought to her the night of Takemichi's birthday in full detail after giving Takemichi a knock out drug. His team carried him away to the infirmary as well.

Everyone was too baffled to comprehend that Mikey's behavior was all part of his plan to fix things with Takemichi.

" Your telling us that Mikey wanted to use himself as a human punching bag for Takemichi to release his berserk mode inner rage? With no intention of winning?" Pah summarized in a tone of disbelief.

" That's right, I told him that night that it was irrational and dangerous for his life, but he said that he deserves to die after all of the hurtful things his did to Takemichi." Madame Carlisle heart fully explained.

" We're such f*cking idiots!" Baji shouted. Emma dropped to her knees and cried on the ground with Hina and the girls right next to her. Everyone clenched their teeth's and fists of the frustration in themselves.

" Everything that we said, everything that we did, we even ignored him for the past month! What kind of family are we?" Sanzu said with tears and frustration.

" There is more dreadful information that I have to explain about Mr.Sano, but I think you need to go visit him in the emergency room." Madame Carlisle advised.

Everyone got up and speeded towards the emergency sector of the infirmary. They heard many nurses and doctors running down the hallways to Mikey's room. They made to the room with heavy breaths as they heard a long beep and the doctor say a statement that none of them wanted to hear that made their hearts drop." I'm calling it, Manjiro Sano, dead on July 2, 2019."

" THE H*LL HE IS!" Draken yelled as he zoomed inside the emergency room. The nurses tried to stop him, but he pushed and rushed past them, the rest of Bonten was in pursuit as well.

" You all can't be in here!!" The doctor ordered, but none of them listened. Draken was doing some chest compressions while Baji was slapping his bruised and pale face.
