Chapter 5

It was the thought your father hitting you until you bled that caused you to have a nightmare tonight. In the abyssal darkness of the night, you were sweating from your dreams.

You woke up, heavy breathing, fast heartbeat and all.

"Y/n, are you alright? Can i come in? " Taehyung knocked on the door and talked to you in a soft tone.

"You can come in."

He found you with a serious expression, teary eyes, and cold sweat on your forehead. He sat on the bed, closer to you.

"What happened?"

"Nothing. It was just a bad dream."

"I'm here if you need me. You only have to let me know." He gave you a reassuring smile.

"Thank you Taehyung."

You looked at his eyes and wondered, just how beautiful can someone's eyes be?

He got up to leave, but you tugged on his sleeve.

"Actually.. Could you sleep here tonight?" You asked with a quiet voice.

You would've never thought you would ask that of him ever.

It was awkward in the beginning, to say the least. Here, you are alone in a mansion with Taehyung and unable to leave because of house arrest.

It turns out that Taehyung sneaked inside before the house arrest so both of you couldn't leave. You two had to deal with living together for a month.

You couldn't risk your father knowing about this since Taehyung and your father were rivals mafias.

After a week of living together, the relationship between you two changed to being more or less friends.

And now, you could lower your guard with him around.

"Yea, that's fine."

He snuggled onto your bed, and you laid your head on his chest. The sleepiness caught up to you and you fell asleep.

"Sweet dreams." Taehyung whispered.

Meeting you didn't feel real to him even though it seems like you two were fated to meet. He had begun to care about you and enjoy being with you.

You comforted him, and last time he allowed someone in, they ended up getting shot.

It was refreshing to have you.

But he knew he shouldn't get attached to you. He knew he shouldn't get attached to your bright smiles, the way your voice sounded, or how cute you were.

Yet he still did without acknowledging it in that moment.
