“Mike come the fuck on!” The redhead yelled at the taller boy. “Hold on! Give me a god damn second!” He yelled back, shoving books that were way too heavy inside his backpack.

The redhead sighed, standing there impatiently and waiting for this dumbass to hurry up and pack his things. When he finally did, he walked up to her. “Does it really take you that long to pack your shit??” She asked angrily, He scoffed. “Yes, actually! Thank you very much!” The raven haired boy replied smugly.

She scowled and started walking away from him trying to find the rest of their group that trailed off after Mike took too long. “Oh- oh come on Max! I was kidding, I swear on my life!“ Mike shouted, chasing after her. “Yeah well guess what asshole? You pissed me off and now I'm gonna ignore you.” She spoke sharply, Mike groaned.

Once they finally found the rest of the group, Max jumped to give Lucas a hug. “Hey Max!” Lucas said cheerfully, hugging her back tightly. “Hi.” She replied, but a bit more monotone. “Hey man!” Dustin said to Mike, doing their usual handshake.

After they finished it they were both laughing before El spoke up. “Hi Mike.” El hugged him really quickly before pulling back, he didn't even get a chance to hug her back.

“Oh, hey El!” Mike responded, a bit confused by her act but brushing it off nonetheless. “Sooo... Dustin!” Lucas clicked his tongue, “Yesss Lucas?” Dustin replied, already being suspicious and having an idea of what Lucas was going to ask him. “Can you give me the answers for the math homework?” Lucas asked quickly.

“No.” Dustin snorted.

“Oh come on!! You always say no!”

You need to pay attention in class more!”

They started arguing loudly. Max sighed and crossed her arms, shaking her head. “Can you guys shut up for like- one moment?” Max said, interrupting their argument.

They both looked at her before back at each other, arguing again. El stepped in between them and covered their mouths.

“Please. Stop.” El said, they both eventually stopped arguing before the bell rang. “Well, this is the last period. See you guys later!” Max said before rushing off to her last class.

Dustin chimed in, “Yeah guys, I cannot be late again! Ms. Sears is on my ass.” After that, he ran off. Lucas, El, and Mike all agreed and walked off just like the other 2.

Mike stepped out of the school, immediately being hit by the fresh warm air. He ran down the stairs and saw the party by the sidewalk, “Guys!” Mike yelled, walking up to them. Dustin turned around, grinning when he saw Mike. “Wheeler!” He yelled also, Mike caught up with them.

He was breathing heavily, “You barely ran.” Max said, making fun of him. Lucas started snickering when he heard Max. “Okay?! And?!” Mike snapped, looking at her annoyed. Dustin started laughing also.

Mike rolled his eyes and walked ahead of them, “Hey! Jackass! You can't just walk in front of us because you're annoyed!” She shouted, pushing him. He tripped forward a bit but gained his balance back before he could fall.

“I do what I want, Maxine!” He taunted,  turning around and flipping her off while walking backwards.

She scoffed and tried to push him again, he dodged her attack and started cackling at her. Before she could try to hit him again he ran off.

After Mike was a far distance from them, he felt tired because of how much he ran.

He wasn't really used to it, even if the coach yelled at him 10 times a day just because he wasn't running fast enough during a lap and he was scolded for it every time, he still wasn't used to it. He walked around the corner and pulled out his phone, scrolling on it and not paying attention to anything around him but the screen that was in front of his face.
