~*~CALEY'S POV~*~
I opened my eyes and gasped for air, immediately shielding my eyes from a blinding white light that was above me. I blinked a few times to adjust to the brightness. I sat up and looked around me, feeling incredibly confused.
I was not in the hospital anymore.
No, instead, I was on what looked like a beach. I was sitting in the sand and in front of me were waters that were so clear that they almost exactly reflected the bright sky above them. There were no people around. The only sound was that of the water silently lapping up against the yellow sand. I sat and stared at the water as it sparkled in the sunlight and wondered where the hell I was.
"Caley Lucia?" I heard a feminine voice say. I jumped at the sound of my name. I had thought I was alone. I looked around me and squinted up as a figure approached me. I shielded my eyes to try to make out the features of her face.
She was pretty, in a plain and delicate sort of way. She had long curly strawberry blonde hair, a small sloped nose, and thin pink lips that were slightly curved up into a smile. But what was most striking about this woman were her eyes.
She had all of the colors in her eyes, almost like Trey. They were mostly brown, but they had flecks of blue, green, amber, grey, and violet in them. It was subtle, but it made her eyes stand out. She smiled as she looked down at me, extending her hand. I glanced at her hand and hesitated before taking it and allowing her to pull me to my feet. I brushed the sand off the white dress I was in and continued to stare at the woman's face, still wondering who she was and where we were.
"Who are you?" I asked. Her smile grew wider and she tilted her head to the side a bit. From up close, I could see that she had a light dusting of freckles across her nose.
"Who do you think I am?" she asked. I frowned and bit my lip as I continued to stare at her face.
"I have no idea," I said.
"I think you do. And you think it is a crazy idea, but I think you should say it anyway," she replied.
"I think you're the Original Witch," I said.
"And why do you think that?" she asked me, her eyes glittering.
"Because..." I paused, "Because of your eyes," I said. She smiled.
"Well, Caley Lucia, you are correct," she said. I stared at her, dumbfounded. "I am the Original Witch, but I would like you to call me Nissa," she told me.
"So...if you're the Original Witch, then does that mean I'm in heaven? Am I dead?" I asked, a panic slowly setting in as I looked around me frantically. She laughed, covering her mouth in a girly way. I looked back at her, annoyed at her amusement.
"You are not in heaven," she told me after she was done.
"Then where the hell am I?" I asked. She smiled knowingly again.
"Where do you think you are?" she asked. I was beginning to get annoyed. She kept answering my questions with another question and I hated it when people did that. Nonetheless, I looked around at my surroundings more closely.
Beyond the beach where we were standing, there seemed to be a large expanse of land and beyond that was a forest filled with tall, green trees. The land seemed to be abandoned, but I could make out clay homes that were painted and lined with ceramic tiling. The homes had a Spanish feel to them and the beach was very Mediterranean. The forest looked like the ones Gerrard and I walked through in Brazil. In the far distance, I could see tall mountains that were topped with white snow. These reminded me of Aerya. I looked back at Nissa.
