When I woke up earlier that morning, I had spent the night dreaming of my new car-the PERFECT car for me to fix up and drive.
I haven't dreamed of being swept away into another place. I had not expected such a thing to happen. And I most certainly did not know what was going on right now.
"What the hell just happened?" Noah swore dizzily, putting his hand on the side of the yellow camaro so he wouldn't fall over.
"Well, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore Toto," I quipped, glancing at the forest surrounding us. In my white cotton dress, I was sure not dressed for hiking.
Noah rolled his eyes, clearly not impressed by my comment. "No shit sherlock."
Crossing my arms, I sighed at him. "Well if I'm Sherlock, then in that case," I adjusted my glasses to rest on the edge of my nose. "Sometimes the most obvious is the least obvious."
Turning, I glanced at the yellow Camaro that we had found at the used dealership. Noah and I had climbed into him. The radio had switched on and poof. "The car spun, and we arrived here," I thought out loud.
Frowning, I walked up to the car and glared at it, hands on my hips. "Want to explain what is going on?"
There was silence of course-it was just a car after all.
"Come on," I scowled. "I know you brought us here-whoever-whatever you are."
"Ray," Rolling the sleeves of his leather jacket up, Noah was clearly exasperated. "It is just a car," he stopped right up to it and kicked its wheel. "...Just a stupid, lifeless-AHH!"
There was a loud clunking sound. The car began to vibrate. All at once if furled upwards standing into a yellow metal robot that reached stories high.
Noah stared open mouthed at the robot.
Folding my arms, I smirked smugly at him "What was that about it just being a car?"
In reply, Noah just closed his mouth and shook his head.
Meanwhile I looked forward, at once recognizing the yellow robot. Running up to him, I hugged his leg. "Bumblebee, it's good to see you again!"
The autobot did a little jig, his radio switching on. "Good morning New York!" He then bent down and opened his hand.
Laughing, I climbed onto it and he slowly lifted me up so that I was level with his blue optics

"I thought I would never get to see you again!" I exclaimed excitedly. "Boy that was a surprise seeing you at the junkyard. Was it you all along? Why didn't you say something sooner, why-"
Beep-beep-beep-beep!
Bumblebee buzzed in reply, not being able to talk in many months due to his voice modulator being destroyed.
"I think he's telling you to slow down!" Noah called from where he was on the ground.
Nodding his head, Bumblebee set me back on the ground.
"Ah okay," I chuckled sheepishly. "Sorry, I'm just so excited to see you Bee!" Clasping my hands together, I looked around eagerly. "Are any of the other autobots around?"
In reply Bumblebee whirled down into his Camaro form. The two front doors swung open and he revved his engine. "Hit the road Jack..and don't you come back...hit the road jack and don't you come back no more..."
"Alright!" Grinning, I looked at Noah. "He wants us to get in."
"Uh, but where exactly is he taking us?" Noah was a bit more cautious than me-I was the impulsive one.
"Who cares, it's Bee!" Not hesitating another moment I slid inside the autobot, taking the driver's side. A moment later, Noah climbed into the passenger seat. Both doors slammed shut and we were off.
The forest scenery flew by at a fast pace-Bumblebee gracefully drove around the trees and logs while still maintaining a fast speed.
One thing I did notice since our last meeting was that he had seemed much taller-older-in his robot form. It made me wonder how much time had passed in this world during the one year back home.
In science fiction novels I had read-sometimes the time in home went slowly while in another dimension centuries went by.
"Bee?" I smoothed my hands over the autobot symbol on the steering wheel. "How old are you?"
"Listen...oh ah ooh...do you want to know a secret?"
"Bee," Laughing, I groaned, knowing that the autobot was not going to answer me, judging by the radio clip he had chosen.
"Can you play something fun on the radio?" Noah asked, leaving back in his seat.
There was a cracking as Bee switched between channels, then he finally paused.
"I got a feeling
That tonight's gonna be a good night..."
"I love this song!" I exclaimed, and then began singing along. "Tonight's gonna be a good good night, I feel. Wooo–hooo!"
Bumblebee sped on and I could have sworn he was bumping along to the music.
All of a sudden, we practically flew through thick bushes and landed on a paved road.
Now as I leaned forward in my seat, I spotted a town coming into view-a rather large-city town.
"Bee, where are you taking us?" Noah asked before I could.
"Jus a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit-"
My boyfriend frowned. "Well, I don't think that looks like Detroit."
"Hmm," Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out my phone. I hastily unlocked it and selected the map app. "Looks like we are just outside of Los Angeles, California."
"California?" Noah's eyes widened and mine did as well.
"Bee, why are you bringing us to California?" I asked, pocketing my phone.
"We're on a mission from God!" Was Bee's response through the radio.
Noah shook his head and groaned. "Why do I have a feeling this is not going to end well?"
Most of you can probably see that I am heading the chapter with one of the main character's names. The chapters will switch between viewpoints, just like in the first book. Mainly between Ray and Noah.
