TIME: 5:26 PM PLACE: DORM LIVING ROOM
It was almost the end of the week. It was Friday and only three were left behind in the dorm. The 2nd years had afterschool sessions every Friday and Sunoo had weekend shifts at a nearby cafe. So it was just Jungwon, Niki and Aroha who were at the dorm. They were dying of boredom, sitting around doing nothing. Then Niki proposed that they could binge on some movies. Both Jungwon and aroha agreed to the idea and pooled in their share of snacks and prepared the living room while Niki was setting up the tv. They flopped upon the couch and the room was dimly lit as to give a cinematic effect. Niki was at the middle with Aroha and jungwon on either sides.
"Do you guys have any good recommendations?" Niki asked.
"Nope, I pretty much stopped watching movies since university started." Aroha replied casually.
"Same here. I've got no recommendations." Jungwon replied.
"Alrighty, lets watch some classic horrors. They never go out of style." Niki said as he browsed through the horror genre.
"Wh- Why dont we go with comedy or romance? Jungwon asked. It was evident that he was frightened.
"Why not? Oh my god jungwon, are you scared to watch a horror movie?" Niki asked with a mocking grin and slight mischievousness in his wriggling eyebrows.
"No, who said that huh? I'm perfectly fine with it." Jungwon retorted.
"Just start the movie already." Aroha chipped in.
The horror movie they had picked was playing, and the tension in the room was palpable. Niki had settled into the middle of the couch, sandwiched between Aroha and Jungwon. As the movie's ominous soundtrack filled the room, Niki couldn't help but feel a growing sense of unease.
"This movie is going to be a piece of cake," Niki boasted, trying to mask the nervousness in his voice.
Jungwon, on the other hand, was starting to feel a knot forming in his stomach. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his eyes darting around the room as if expecting something to jump out at him. "Yeah, it's just a movie, right?"
Aroha watched their reactions with amusement, a playful grin tugging at the corners of her lips. She was enjoying their discomfort more than she would admit. "Come on, guys, it's just a horror movie. What's the worst that could happen?"
Little did they know, the worst was yet to come. As the movie progressed, the tension built, and every creak and rustle seemed amplified. Niki, who had been so confident earlier, was now gripping the edge of the couch, his knuckles turning white.
Jungwon's anxiety had escalated to a point where he was practically sitting on the edge of his seat, ready to leap at the slightest jumpscare. He was determined to prove he wasn't scared, but his trembling hands betrayed his true feelings.
