My mind is about to explode!

From the moment that I woke up from the car ride, there’s been so much to process. Firstly, we drove over eight hours because ‘the man in charge’ mentioned that he likes to take time to drive occasionally, instead of flying. Something about clearing his head while watching the scenery gives him peace.

Secondly, he informed me that my mother was dead. I could tell that he was still grieving and that it was a new thing, how his eyes started tearing up. I could feel the pain radiating off him and my brothers as he told me that she died in her last childbirth. Two ago. It turns out that after receiving the news that they had found me she was shocked and went into labor. But it turned out there were complications with her labor. She died giving birth to a new baby boy being born into the family.

Thirdly, he tells me that the baby boy has not stopped crying. Not being able to rest at all, constantly not eating, and isn’t doing too well because of so. My heart instantly went out to the little guy.

As he was wrapping things up, we arrived at a beautiful mansion that Mr. Bio, that’s the official name that I will be calling my biological father, calls ‘home.’

As we were walking through the door a group of boys were all standing there.

Mr. Bio signed and said, boys, we haven’t introduced ourselves to your sister yet. Everyone goes in order starting with me. I’m Hades Knights.”

“I’m Ares. 23. I’m finally glad to meet you. I’m the eldest.” He says this with a firm yet soft voice. It threw me off with the “finally glad to meet you” bit. Because if he’s older, wouldn’t he already meet me when I was born? Thinking of that, do I really know that they’re my family? They haven’t shown any proof.

“Don’t go into thinking all of that right now. It’ll run you crazy. It’s a long story for another time. I’m Eros. I love you so much. By the way, I’m 23 and the second oldest,” he says.

“I’m Zeus, 18, third oldest,” Hmmm Zeus seems to be friendly and straightforward, and right to the point.

“I’m going to be your favorite brother. I’m the fourth oldest at 17. And oh, we’re going to have so much fun together. We can play pranks and have pillow fights. We can-” “cough” Oh I am Apollo,” he says as he grins.

“Hey, no fare, I’m going to be my sissy favorite. Because I’m cute and you’re not,” says a little boy.

Apollo looks like somebody crushed his soul with just those few words as he stared at his younger brother.

“I’m the fifth youngest because you’re older than me. I’m Helios and this is Poseidon, my twin the sixth oldest. We are bout glad to meet you.” He moved over to me gestured for me to bend down and whispered, “he’s happy to meet you. And he’s going to be your favorite bother. He hasn’t stopped looking at the picture Papa gave us to see how you looked. He loves you.”

Almost right on cue, Poseidon comes up to me reaches his arms out, and grabs my waist giving me a hug. I could have cried because even though I was taken from my adoptive parents, who are great people by the way, this family is already making its way into my heart. My family.

“Okay sweetheart, it's late and everyone needs their rest. You can meet Percy, the baby, in the morning. It’s a rare moment that he’s peacefully sleeping. It might have something to do with you being here,” he says as he winks at me.

“Well, here we are. Get some rest,” Mr. Bio says as he shows me the door to my room. As he is walking away, he turns back and says, “We have breakfast together as a family. I’ll have someone to come get you in the morning.” As we get to the room, I don’t even have time to look around as I lay down and shut my eyes.

Two questions

1.     Should Mom be dead?

2.     Or alive?

Whichever gets the most votes wins.

Do you all know how on YouTube everyone is like “I don’t want to be that person.” Well, I’m that person! Like my story, please.
