So this came in my idea because of the scene where Y gets hurt and X gets kidnapped.
Sense I head-cannon One as their dad, I can see there's favoritism take part.
I can imagine that Y doesn't only feel scared but overly upset and angry about it because it just seems like whatever she does isn't good enough to her own father.
Even though X is the favorite child, he will always do his best to take care for example, making her food and making sure she is safe. X doesn't care that he's the favorite child.' It still disgusts him that his own father doesn't show any love and care to his own daughter.
Mostly this would have a lot of signs of neglect, depression, and favoritism
I'm not making this into a book though or at least I don't think I will
