"Cynthia! Just the girl I'm looking for." Growled aunt Maybelle. "Have you found what I wanted you?"
"Uh no. I didn't find gold..." I said in a small voice. "But I found this!"
I show her the hammer I found in the river, gleaming with newness in my grubby hands.
Aunt Maybelle gasped in shock. "OH MY GOODNESS! CYNTHIA!!" She shrieked.
"Wh-what?" I asked her nervously.
"YOU STOLE THIS HAMMER! I JUST KNOW!"
"B-but aunt Maybelle! I-I didn't! I found it in the river!"
"Liar! Dirty rat!" aunt Maybelle hissed. "Mark! COME HERE THIS INSTANT!"
Uncle Mark arrived into the grand lounge room.
"What is it, Maybelle?" He asked.
"Cynthia stole this hammer! Now the runners are gonna come to our door!" She scolded me.
"OH NO! CYNTHIA! YOU'RE IN BIG TROUBLE!" Uncle Mark scowled.
"I FOUND IT IN THE RIVER!" I shouted.
Maybelle gasped and she went furious!
"THAT'S IT!" She screamed in anger. "WE ARE UN-ADOPTING YOU!"
"No! Aunt Maybelle! Please!" I pleaded. "It was an accident!"
She just picked me up and threw me onto the hard ground. "Oww!"
She slammed the door in my face.
Aghh! Why'd this happen?!
I stamped my foot three times.
WHAT DID I DO WRONG?!
If only they believed me that is...
Short chapter sry I had no idea what to put next.
And plus, there is a fly in my house, which is pretty annoying.
:D
