After a few more weeks of dinner dates at Jaemin's and a couple where he brought it to Jeno's house, Jaemin is feeling a lot more confident about Jeno possibly returning his feelings. Things have been building significantly including the sexual tension. On more than one occasion Jaemin almost kissed him.
When he sees him checking his mail on the curb he decides it's now or never. He swallows his nerves and walks up to him.

"Hey Jen? Can I ask you something?" Jeno smiles brightly and nods. That's another thing that's been happening more. Jeno smiles genuine smiles and it makes Jaemin's heart beat erratically. Jaemin takes his free hand in his own.
"Would you like to go on a date with me? We could do something casual or maybe a fancy restaurant or..." Jeno giggles as he keeps nervously spouting off ideas.
"I'd love to." He says before leaning into him and kissing his cheek. And for once, it's Jaemin's cheeks that turn pink.
"I'm sure I'd like whatever you decide, just let me know so I know what to wear." Jaemin nods with a huge grin.
"For sure." He is mesmerized at the moment by Jeno's captivating eyes, soft lips and he just can't help himself as he leans closer.
"What would happen if I kissed you right now?" He asks.
"I think, I might kiss you back." Jeno says just before soft lips meet his own. The kiss is gentle and sweet, just like Jaemin has always been with him. He sighs into it and grabs Jaemin's arm for support.

When he pulls back Jeno has a small blush that matches his own.
"Maybe next time we shouldn't do it at the mailbox though?" Jeno asks quietly, earning a giggle from the other.
"I'm sorry, it's just that, at times your beauty takes my breath away and I can't help myself." Jeno turns away and covers his cheeks.
"Stop." He says shyly. Jaemin chuckles and pecks his lips once more.
"I'll call you later tonight to finish making plans?" Jeno waves as he walks toward his house and Jaemin practically skips home.

"He said yes. I asked him on a date and he said yes." Haechan giggles through the phone.
"It's about time." He says with an almost audible eye roll.
"Do you think I took too long? Maybe I should have asked sooner?" Haechan laughs at him again,
"I'm just teasing. You did fine. I'm happy for you both."

Trying to actually figure out the best first date ever is a lot more than he thought it would be. He wants it to be perfect.
When he finally figures it out he calls him right away.

"So, should I tell you or should I surprise you?" Jeno hums.
"Well, sometimes surprises are nice but to be honest I'm excited to find out." Jaemin chuckles.
"Fine I'll tell you this time." Jeno is glad Jaemin can't see his face heat up at the fact that he's already planning for a next time.
"I'm taking you to dinner. It is a classy place. Wear whatever you want." Jeno hums.
"What are you wearing? I'll just wear something similar." Jaemin is quiet for a minute.

"Hey, can I come over for a minute?" He asks. For a second Jeno is nervous.
"Sure?" Jaemin chuckles.
"Don't sound so scared. I just want to talk." Jeno chuckles.
"Yeah, ok." Jaemin hangs up immediately and heads over. Jeno answers the door wearing a white hoodie and ripped, faded jeans. He looks beautiful.

"Damn, hi." He says softly .
"Hi, come in? Are you having second thoughts on the date or?" Jaemin takes his hands and kisses his cheek before he drags him to the couch.
"I just wanted you to know that the other day, I saw you in a pretty lavender sweater." Jeno frowns, not sure if hes liking where this is going.
I thought, wow you look so beautiful when you are in color. Don't get me wrong, you look amazing in black too. I just wanted you to know that whatever style, or color pallet you decide to go with? You will be perfect in it." He kisses his hands.
"Just be you ok?" Jeno smiles, still nervous.
"I just want you to have as much color in your life that you've brought into mine." Jeno can't look away from him as his eyes fill with tears. Jaemin's thumbs swipe under his eyes as he leans in to kiss his cheek.

Jeno has other ideas though as he presses their lips together. Jaemin is taken by surprise but kisses back willingly. When he pulls back his tears start again.
"I like you Jaemin. I like you so much and im so scared that once you really know me, you won't like me back." Jaemin shakes his head no.
"Impossible. When I first saw you, I told Haechan, He's so attractive, he's going to be competition, Haechan asked why not my lover, and I said because you are too much of a top for me." Jeno laughs lightly through his tears as Jaemin continues to embarrass himself.
"The more I got to know you, the more time I spent with you. I came to a conclusion that still holds up.
"I really Don't care what you like or dislike sexually or otherwise because I want to be with you either way. I love spending time with you, I love just being in your presence. You have a beautiful aura. Those are the reasons I'm falling for you. The reason I can't sleep sometimes." Jeno hugs him and cries on his shoulder.

"Can you stay here tonight? I have some things I want to tell you and I might need you to hold me." Jaemin almost loses his breath.
"Of course. Let me go get some sweats?" Jeno nods and smiles.
"Thank you Jaem. I'll leave it unlocked, I'm going to make us some tea." Jaemin smiles brightly and rushes home, maybe now he will open up to him?
