It was dark.

It was cold.

Was she moving?

Where was she?

This is it...

This is the end...

Expecting to be in child trafficking, Raven managed to slowly open her eyes.

She wasn't at the house.

Nor the store.

"Where am I?"

Raven muttered softly looking around.

She was settled in a California King sized bed with leatherwhite tufted bed frames.

The afternoon sun shimmered through the white linen curtains shimmering on the oak wood floor.

A chandelier was above the bed glistened over Raven's head as she looked around in awe.

A desk was across the bed with a pastel pink shabby chic lamp, a pencil and a mirror.

Its beautiful.

Raven stood up letting her feet hit the white cashmere rug.

Despite how beautiful the room was, she needed to make sure her grandfather was okay.

Who brought me here?

Who's house is this?

Raven's mind filled with questions as she began fiddling with her afro but instead felt satin silk.

What?!

Reaching the mirror on the desk confused, Raven noticed a very large pink and black polka dotted bonnet that kept her afro very intact as it was in twists and tucked away.

Whoa.

Raven also saw her overalls, tshirt, bra, underwear and socks in a brown cotton roped laundry basket. Instead of those clothes, she wore a long white longsleeved linen night dress that clung to her hips and waist falling to her calves.

She decided to find out who brought her to this room.

When she left, there were series of doors and a white quartz staircase downstairs with a gold railing as Raven noticed a pot of Gardenias on a Greek column by the window.

Huh.

Raven knew who brought her here.

The gardener.

Hastily running downstairs, Raven looked around for the gardener.

As she crossed through the dining room to the kitchen, clusters of maids and butlers scurried around working hard as new aromas of a meal erupted from the equipment they were using.

"May I help you?"

A soft silky voice asked.

Raven noticed a woman in kitchen attire, her auburn hair tucked away stood with her hands together staring patiently.

Raven asked, " Th-The gardener?"

The womans eyes widened and she said, " Ah! Our suprise guest! Come with me Miss,"

Raven followed the woman silently as everyone worked briskly around them not paying attention.

The pair crossed the pool room to, two large white French doors.

Facing the largest inground pool Raven had seen, small pastel pink and white China flower pots full of Bougainvilleas were at each Greek column and umbrellas were on one end with the tanning beds.

The gardener was at the pool deck skimming the pool that had remenants of pollen, leaves and flower petals.

The maid said, " Miss, this is Frederick. Our gardener,"

Raven nodded as Frederick said, " Please leave us, Juliette,"

Juliette nodded leaving the pair alone heading back inside quietly. Raven stared curiously as Frederick continued skimming the pool.

Frederick said, " I know why your here,"

Raven asked, " Why didn't you leave me? Or bring me home?"

Frederick said, " You would've gotten kidnapped. I couldn't just leave you."

Raven said, " Well- thank you-I guess."

Frederick chuckled and said, " Well- your welcome, I guess."

Raven asked, " Is there any chores I can do?"

Frederick finished skimming the pool and set the skimmer in the supply closet took off his gloves, and said, " No Miss, just relax and wait until the Boss comes back and then you'll meet him,"

Rsven asked, " But my grandfather-"

Frederick said, " All will be taken care of when you meet the Boss."

Raven just sighed crossing her arms wandering the mansion carelessly.
