(A/N: I am so sorry, babes. Apparently, I don't know how to write the whole scene. I did it before, but it got deleted, and now I'm losing motivation, so let's start with the part where Y/N saved Shang.)

'Step back, guys. Give him some air.' Ling told the other soldiers as they all rushed to us.

Panting, Shang turned to me. 'Ping... You are the craziest man I've ever met!' he said straightforwardly. 'And for that, I owe you my life. From now on, you have my trust.'

He placed a hand on my shoulder for comfort. I beamed at him.

'Let's hear it for Ping! The bravest of us all!' Ling triumphed.

'You are King of the Mountain.'

'Yes, yes, yes!'

Shang stood up and offered me his hand. As he pulled me back up to my feet, I felt something sharp piercing through that made me clutch my stomach. I exclaimed.

'Ping!' Shang supported me. 'What is it? What's wrong?'

'I—'  I gasped and lifted my hand that was now stained in my own blood.

Shang's eyes widened. 'He's wounded! Get help!' he commanded to one of the soldiers before turning back to me. 'Ping,  hold on... Hold on..'

His lips moved, but I heard no sound. Everything went black.

Counting minutes in his head, Shang paced back and forth outside of the tent.

Fortunately, one of the soldiers, Zhen Yixuan, know first aid and insisted to take the unconscious Ping into their care. Shang hesitated at first, but after not seeing any other option to treat their friend, he entrusted Ping to Yixuan.

(A/N: Yes, we are going with this shit. Ain't no doctor suddenly gonna appear out of nowhere when the damn village was literally 100% annihlated)

Now, the remaining soldiers of the Imperial Army waited outside the tent in the snow, hoping that Ping would be all right.

As soon as Zhen Yixuan exited the tent, Shang rushed over to him. The man leaned in closer and whispered something indistinctly into Shang's ear.

Shang's eyes widen, making Yao, Ling, and Chien-Po tense at his expression.

Unsure if he should believe it, Li Shang hastened to enter the tent. There, he saw Ping laying down with a blanket covering his whole body except the head.

His face softened at the sight, but as Ping sat up, the blanket fell, revealing his chest to have something that man didn't have.

Y/N's breathing hitched as she pulled the blanket over herself.

'I—I can explain.' she stuttered. But Shang wasted no second and left. 'Shang!'

Chi Fu interfered and saw Y/N for himself as well. 'So it's true!' he gasped.

Y/N gripped on the blanket tightly around her body as the old man dragged to the outside in front of her comrades without consent nor warning.

'I knew there was something wrong with you.' Chi Fu accused and pulled her hair tie off. 'A woman.'

He then threw her to the ground, falling face-first on the snow. Y/N got up into a kneeling position.
