Chapter 22:A Deadly Interrogation

The Day
Thalia:
"You do know spreading rumours is a form of bullying, which means you could both be expelled." The principal concluded, her face set with her lips pursed. Heavy red curtains draped behind us. She was dead serious with cold brown eyes. Her hands rested on the mahogany table." In which way we need to find the people which everyone points to you two." The principal paused her speech, eyes narrowed and pointed at Diana and I. Diana sat on the chair with legs crossed, cold silver eyes narrowed and arms crossed. Her narrowed eyes swivelled to both of us as she grabbed a fountain pen and scribbled fast on a yellow sheet. "You two will be investigated. We do not tolerate bullying in any forms. Serve this as a warning. The one who indeed spreads it will be expelled point blank. Now ladies, do you understand."
We both nodded at the principal as she leaned back with a sigh and rubbed her temples. "Now, be off." She screamed and slammed her palm on the desk." Be back in five minutes."
We got up slowly and left as Diana rolled her eyes, obviously not bothered by the insult.She slipped her hands into the slips of her pocket and flipped open her pink gem encrusted cell and typed like being excused from the principal office was simply a regular Monday.
I raised my brow and looked at her confused."How are you so nonchalant about this we could be expelled ?"
She looked over her shoulder and shrugged,"Are you sure about that?"She asked as a sneer of a smile spilt her face.Then she spun on her heels and flipped her raven locks."Well then, honey ,this is not my first rodeo."she placed her hand on her waist."My parents are great sponsors of this school."She raised her thick black brows."And who says I'm getting expelled as far as I know.You are the one who spread the rumour, not me."She threw her head back as her laughter echoed in the sleepy hallway.
My shoulders fell as realisation dawned to me.All I did was stare at my feet.
"Why ?Why did you spread it ?"I demanded as I clenched my fist.She blinked at me as if I was dense.
"So people can know what kind of person you are ,duh."she answered as she stared at her manicured nails.
"Really,"I asked with a cocked head.Her eyes widened as she stared at me in disgust.

She crossed her arms and then flicked her locks."Fine."She released a groan."I was bored.The school had been boring.I wanted drama."She replied."Plus ,I needed content.Owning a fan base is hard, and I needed to blog."Each word which slipped from her lips made me disgusted.Every word that slipped out of her lips was concerning and callous.
My fault.I needed to apologise, or my friendship with Hayely is ruined.It already was.My brain answered.
Somebody behind cleared their throat from behind as Diana spun on her heels and then typed on her cell.It was Miss Lim and she was not happy.Her brown eyes were swimming with disappointment as she stared at me.Her flower skirt flowed behind her as I peeked then stared at my shoes instead.The door slammed shut.Four minutes later,the door opened as Diana and I entered.
Miss Lim stood beside the principal with her gaze hard but softened when it landed on me.Then hardened again.The principal stared at both of us, then asked ,her voice firm."At two thirty, where were you miss, Ohinwaa?"

I leaned back and responded ,"At two thirty I was at the consular office."Miss Lim nodded ,her lips curled into a smile.She turned her body to the principal and dropped my file.The principal nodded and flipped through.Then with a deep breath ,she intertwined her thin,long fingers eyes as sharp as glass.

Diana grinned ,puffed her hair and brightened,"I went to use the bathroom miss?"She nodded ,turned to the desktop on the desk as her quick fingers clicked on the mouse.

She pursed her lips then landed her gaze on her."It is true according to the camera you did but over here it takes a picture.She reeled back caught off guard.The principal lifted her chin and smiled. "What is your relationship with Miss Ohiniwaa?"I felt dumbstruck.Why was she dodging her reply ?My gaze went to Dianas ,face bright and youthful and filled with that confidence radiating off her.
