Kol and Rebekah lay on a blanket, side-by-side, hushed whispers going back and forth, whatever topic they were discussing seemed obviously important. Leandro ponders leaving them be, not disturbing whatever the urgent matter between siblings was but thinks of his sister's words, their encouragement, insistence, and threats and decides to remain, clearing his throat to announce his presence.

"Kol. Hello." Leandro greets, making the two sit up suddenly. Leandro turns to the blonde, smiling sheepishly, "Hello, Rebekah. Good day. I was hoping to steal you away if it is no trouble."

Kol scowls at Leandro but the older man ignores him, gaze flickering over to Rebekah. Tension loosens in the girl's shoulders, and she smiles up at Leandro.

"No, it is all right. I have finished my chores for the day." She replies, getting up from the blanket she and Kol had been sitting on.

Kol raises a brow, "Liar." He voices earning a glare from Rebekah while Leandro's lips tug into an amused smile. "You haven't done anything but bother me all day."

"Hush, Kol or I'll tell Mother all about your favourite spots." Rebekah threatens, "There will never be a chore you can hide away from again."

"I have not planned anything long," Leandro reassures, interrupting Kol from his remark. Leandro ignores Kol's glare, his attention entirely on Rebekah. "A walk, merely and well, um, lunch."

"We best not keep it waiting then," Rebekah says and loops her arm through his. Leandro blinks at the actions, mildly stunned before gathering his bearing and leading them out of the woods and into the village.

They walk in silence, neither wanting to touch the tentative peace between them, even if it was slightly awkward. Rebekah pauses at one point, stopping Leandro's spiraling for a conversation starter for them and he follows Rebekah's gaze to the woman he'd heard spoken about as if she were a goddess.

Tatia. Doe brown eyes, clear bronzed skin, dark curls and a slender figure even after a child. The woman every man in the village wanted for a wife even though she was widowed quite recently.

Leandro notices Rebekah frown as Tatia leans closer towards Elijah, soft giggles leaving her lips before her eyes flickered over to a dejected, longing Niklaus. Leandro, too, frowns.

"Come, Rebekah. We wouldn't want to eat lunch cold." Leandro says, earning Rebekah's attention. He continues, leading them past Elijah and Tatia though Tatia's gaze intertwines with Leandro's, a teasing smile on her lips and her eyelashes batting leaving Leandro's frown to deepen.

Rebekah sighs quietly.

"Caia—" Leandro tries when the silence becomes too uncomfortable for him. He clears his throat, "She told me Henrik is not dead." Leandro blanches at his words, then splutters, "I-I am glad."

Rebekah's lips curve into a small smile, an amused expression on her face. "As am I. He is my favourite of the brutes I was foresaken with as brothers." she jokes, and it eases Leandro's nerves. With a smile like that how could it not. "Much like Andrea is yours."
