"Did you sleep well, Kol?"

"Did you sleep well, Kol?"

Kol scowls at Leandro and his teasing as he reenters his bedroom. "I will sleep well when I have my bed back to myself."

Leandro presses his lips together, swallowing a chuckle. "Is that the only face you can make?"

Kol chucks a white tunic to Leandro. "When I have to endure your face, yes."

Kol stops kicking his clothes into a pile as a way of cleaning up when he hears no rebuttal from Leandro. He turns and sees Leandro scrutinising the tunic with mild disdain.

"It is not one of Mikael's, is it?" Leandro queries bluntly.

Kol snorts, his lips quirking upward the slightest. "No. Mine. I used seiðr so it would fit you, but I couldn't make certain with your unusually giant size—"

"All right. I get it. Have the morning off, would you, Kol?"

"If they didn't come so naturally to me, perhaps I would."

Leandro tugs the shirt over his head. It's loose, most of his chest is visible and the pendant around his neck is on display, swaying as he moves but it's awfully soft that Leandro's surprised Kol had allowed him to wear it. He had half-expected it to be cursed to make him itch till he was red and raw. Leandro didn't rule it out yet. "Look at that," Leandro starts. "You might actually be getting somewhere with seiðr."

"When are you leaving?" Kol asks bluntly.

"You know, for a man who used me as his personal pillow last night, you're awfully eager to get rid of me."

Kol snarls, stalking to Leandro with his chin tilted up till they're sharing short breaths. "I will sew your lips together if you ever think of breathing a word of it to another living soul."

Leandro grins. "Do my cubs count?"

Kol doesn't speak as he startles, the sound of upcoming footsteps sending him already halfway across the room from Leandro when Esther knocks softly on the wood.

"Leandro," Esther begins in an awfully soft and hesitant tone, her gaze heavy on the man while she wrings her hands together. She stops and doesn't elaborate.

"Is there anything I can do for you, Esther?" Leandro prompts, concern marring his features.

Esther inhales and Leandro eyes flicker to Kol, brows raising to see if the younger brunette had any clue to his mother's uneasiness. Kol head turns, eyes intertwining with Leandro's, and just stares back.
