I weakly opened my eyes to see sunlight filtering into my eyes from the drapes, I was laying on something soft, a bed. Beside me I felt a hand draped over my stomach. I weakly sat up, drained while I looked around and realized where I was. I was back in my room in the second night's castle! Zaos was laying down next to me while I let out a soft laugh sitting up as he groaned, and sat up with a yelp.

He quickly got off the bed," Apologies princess!"

I shook my head weakly," At this point you may as well call me by name. You were with me when I gave birth to our son. You also helped get my mother and Leandra out of there. If you were like your mother, chances are Sophia would have ended you by now."

The door opened up while Iona came running in, tears on her face as she tackled me," Your alright Selena!"

"Iona get off me please, I am still weak from giving birth," Panic flooded through me as I cried out," Wait, is Idan alright!"

Vivian entered and bowed," Yes, he is just fine. He is sleeping right now, the Lady of the Second House, Krista has been taking care of him. When you are strong enough you can go see him."

Sighing in relief while Christine growled," Get off of Selena, Iona. She is still weak. Also she needs to eat!"

The soft voice of Leandra entered the room, in her arms she was carrying her son," Little sisters the both of you out, now."

Iona and Christine yelped and fled while I found it kind of amusing that Leandra, despite just having returned home, is able to order Iona and Christine around.

She glanced at Zaos," Out as well, I want to have a private conversation with Selena."

Shaking my head while I whispered," Zaos can stay."

Leandra sat down with surprising grace, she smiled lightly," You will both be good parents. However Zaos if you even think of hurting her after the hell you put her through I assure you. There will be complete hell to pay."

Out of the corner of my eye I watched him pale completely as he pulled me into his side making me blush as he growled," I won't even think about harming her."

Suddenly my stomach growled as both of them looked at me and chuckled as I felt my face heat up immediately, Leandra stated," We will get some food up here shortly. Also your mother is proud of you. She already loves her grandchild."

"Wait how long have I been asleep for?"

"Nearly two days," Leandra responds," You needed it, truly."

Processing the information while Leandra looked at Zaos," Zaos, are you sure you want to risk going back there?"

Whipping my head to look at Zhao while I growled, my aura suddenly flaring, surprising me," No you will not. No more spying."

His eyes widened in fear," Alright fine."

Leandra smirked," Little Selena here already has you wrapped around her finger huh Zaos."

Zaos muttered," She already did."

A servant came in with some food as Leandra took the cart," Thank you. I will handle it from here."

He bowed and left immediately while Zaos stood up," Lord Urien said he wanted to talk with me, I can't help but have a bad feeling about it. I will see you later Selena."

A gentle kiss on my forehead before he left, Leandra murmured," You have come so far."

She gently handed me a bowl of food," Take it easy. Remember your stomach needs to get used to eating actual food."

Nodding my head in understanding I carefully took the fork and nibbled on the meat at the end of the fork. I managed to eat nearly half the bowl before getting full. Leandra handed me a cup, my nose recognized the smell of blood but it felt far more intoxicating. The sweet alluring smell was causing me to just barely resist from my mouth watering

Leandra took a soft breath," Take your time. We know it is your first time having blood, but aren't you curious whose blood this is from?"

Confused at what she was implying I whispered, when it clicked," Zaos' blood."

"Indeed," Leandra chuckled," Smart one."

Gently bringing the cup to my lips I took a small sip, flavor exploding in my mouth while I restrained from gulping it down while I brought it away. Leandra stayed beside me until I finished the cup.

Handing it back to her she stood up," I have a feeling you don't really want to go to sleep just yet. So I brought you a few books about history. According to my younger sisters you last learned about the weapons you possess through your lineage."

She placed a few books on my lap, as I sighed," I was hoping they would have forgotten about that like I did."

She chuckled," As the next ruler you are required to know all of this."

Moving back into the covers I covered my head, with the covers with a groan," Did my mother have to deal with this? Did my father?"

Leandra snorted," I see where you are going with this and the answer is no as they were the first beings. They know everything that happened."

"Let me learn from the source then. Or better yet let me recover still," I peeked out of the covers

Leandra responded," Fair enough. Well I will see you later then."

My eyes had been growing heavy while I immediately fell back to sleep. Nightmares soon started while I struggled to push through them. Memories of what I had gone through in the last two years flashed through my mind while I shot awake gasping for air while I carefully swung my legs over the edge of the bed. Realizing night had fallen, walking towards the balcony I carefully opened the door and stepped out. Shivering from the slight chill I closed my eyes sensing life forms of all kinds moving in the shadows, I could sense the fish in the pond moving about, the bats and owls flying in the air. I could sense the citizens moving about, Iona, Christine, Leandra with her son in Iona's room. Matthew who was in the training hall with Urien, from his energy I could tell he was in pain. Krista and Daniel in their study working on papers. I could sense Zaos with our son in the room nearby, sleeping with him, I could feel a tug in my heart, while I lightly smiled at the feeling of that.

Suddenly my mother's voice spoke in my mind," Selena why are you still awake?"

Jumping in surprise I responded softly," Nightmares."

She responded," Take it easy, it was a traumatic experience for you. You were forcefully captured, and became a mother due to obscene acts at a young age. You are only seventeen after all."

"I am turning eighteen in a couple weeks, mother. Also you went through the same experience perhaps even worse than me," I responded softly to her response.

My mother made a sound of confirmation," Wouldn't be my first time. Your father did the same to me, though it was ordained as a way to show purity and we weren't above them. Enough of that, go back to bed and try to sleep."

"Yes mother," I responded and immediately proceeded back to the bed, climbing into the covers and I gently fell asleep.
